Well another day today

I did get alot done yesterday and need to get alot more done today.  Yesterday was just another Monday busy as normal and still trying to get stuff done.  Today will be wierd becuase I have to scrub anyway and that is ok by me.  My place will be picked up by the time Friday comes and I am hopeing that I won't have a flour bomb go off once again this year.  With the made from scratch pies and breads around here.  I am hopeing to find a pie crust made from butter instead of the shortning.  I will find the recipie for that also.  That is another thing added to my list.  So lets see what I can find for the holidays this year since I did crack my grandmothers bird stuffing for Thanksgiveing.  The drool diden't stop since then from my place.  I was asked if I was gonna make it again here.  Well at least it will be a good year this year again.  No fights at all once again.  I kindda miss that around here in a sick way.  Nice and calm holiday what is that around here of course.  With me cooking and cleaning all day of course.  Well this meal will be under 30 dollars once again for Friday and I will have leftovers as normal for the week around here.  I can say that I have fed my household off of 20 dollars a week for a good while.  And still had meat around here off of the 20 dollars a week.  That was with the kids in the can also.  When you dont get paid to babysit children and they get dumped at your place then you know I had to go way cheap around here.  When I could sit here and plan a meal out with hardly anything in the place and make meals thru the month and go with it all the kids remembered what I had done.  It all stopped for the most part when I had the first knee surgery up here.  Now I don't babysit at all.  Becuase over the past 5 years have been totally just nuts here and I never knew if and when I would get a child dumped on me from the court system from PA or here in NY state.  Now the children who I thought were gonna get dumped on me never made it to my place thank goodness.  I had alot to teach them and they all passed it up.  To bad on thier parts now and I will pass the recipies that I have to a child who will be thankfull for it.  Now I have noticed alot lately that some folks have a 200 dollar grocery bill every week.  I am lucky if it is 50 dollars a week in my place.  So now I will be clipping more coupons and shopping at the cheaper stores for food and other things.  The funny thing is that a friend of mine admitted that he likes Aldi food.  I started laughing becuase I have shopped there for years and he liked what I baked and cooked for the place here.  Ok folks I am off to find the one recipie for the pie crust so have fun and play hard today.

What a mess at the one corner

The Hippy and I went out today and what a mess for traffic at the junction of 62 and the 190 right down the street.  Looking at the auction houses that are for the city of Niagara Falls.  Now I do not want the inner city at all.  But the crazy lady will prevail out of myself anywhere I go.  I just can't stand where I am now it is way to small to do anything.  I have become creative on the storage thing thru the years I will admit to that much.  And more outlets for the kitchen of course.  Now yesterday morning while the Hippy and I were at Target he picked up another ice cream maker hopeing it would majicly appear as another mixing bowl for the Kitchenaid that I have.  The ice cream maker works wanders for my place during the hot days of summer I  will admit to it.  The poor stand mixer started hollering back at me kinda well it dident stop for about 24 hrs almost with me cooking and bakeing.  Now if Kitchenaid made a bread maker I would be in heaven.  I have had the stand mixer from Kitchenaid for a year and a day now and the appliance has pulled thru more times than the hand mixers that I have had over the years.  I will say it is one of the best appliances that I have bought other than the Convection oven during the hollidays.  With the Quaker Parrot I have to watch the pots and pans now in what I use.  And the ones that I have left I can't over heat at all becuase the tefflon affects Olliver.  It just tears me up when he goes into a seasure.  And yes he had 2 today not as bad as they have been though.  It is wierd becuase Olliver is my cooking buddy with everything and the vac buddy.  Along with the 2 mouches out of the kitchen of course the dog and cat.  I have never seen a dog and a cat go at it over a piece of cheese cake untill the hollidays when I do make cheese cake or dental sergery.  I will take the philly cheese cake filling and eat it like that after teeth pulled so a BIG THANKS to the Kraft company the last go around.  So the 2 lbs of taters and what goes into it was enough for the dinner and leftovers the mixer did help and enough room for a bit more.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder the auction isent untill December 15 and I will be there with bells on.

Went back out somewhat

I got out to Collins today.  Traffic wasen't to bad at all.  All I can say is I am still shakeing my head at the rabbies/tetnas shots that went out at 5 am this morning.  I am still thinking of what to do with the leftovers for dinner tonight.  Life could be worse I guess besides doing dishes from yesterday waiting on the Hot water  and what combo of leftovers to make for dinner tonight.  Well with alot of folks I know now where I stand at and really don't care.  I still have my health and sanity for the rest of the year and next year.  My life maybe a bit crazy and I like it like that.  Life has went on without the chat rooms and I like it like that with a clear mind also.  I was asked lastnight if I wanted a beer and I turned the person down granted I wasen't driveing, but still I wasent in the mood after the explosion of the glass wear in the kitchen.  And if I was a true son of a pup I would have beat the stuck up snob in Target theis morning also.  I let it go only becuase the gal wasen't worth the fight in the first place.  Now 20 yrs ago the gal would have been laying on the floor without a problem and I would have went home and waited on the Town Clowns to get here.  When I am right I am right on alot of things.  Then there is the point of where I ignore you and go from there for some folks out there.  Last night was the perfect time to where I diden't pick up the cell phone becuase I was blown off from some folks that I thought were friends.  I pulled a 20lb bird out becuase I diden't get a call that they were not showing up early enough untill I called the night before asking over the phone.  So I cooked the bird anyway and I will NEVER invite the couple over again for ANYTHING anymore EVER.  I understand for some who I asked over with Health problems.  So I brought dessert to them and hung out with better company than getting cut down at the ankles from some electrition that can't find his head from his toush half the time.  Now over the years I have had my gas remain on and several other things.  Yes I may have been broker than snot in some cases, but, Please I have always budgeted out the money for the lean times also.  I have also stuck to a plan to where I can work with the lean times also.  I still cut back at all times where I see fit.  If that means alot of things are cut off for 5 days a week during the peek hours for power usage then so be it.  My power bill is cheaper than most here in the Town of Niagara also.  I have no reason to complain at all I am makeing it in the real world with heat and I can cook on the gas range also thruout the year.  Yes I have space heaters left over from when I worked at ERT in the VERY COLD.  Pluss if the gas does go out around here from the gas company switching lines at least I have heat in the can and a way to cook also.  I will admit to it I will pick up the sales even if it kills me.  Ok so I was out at Target for Black Friday and got alot of things on sale.  And missed my sandwich maker for 4 dollars and that is ok.  Sweats and a few other things made it well worth it this morning.  Even the snob that reminded me of a few other people I know diden't even bother me at all.  All I can say is when folks cut you down in life they may be broker than you are .

I am getting there

Tomarrow I get to take the cans in to cash them in.  I will let you know in how much that was stock piled here in the mud room.  All I can do is laugh at some who do not take the cans in for what they paid for them now a days.  You already pay the nickle may as well take them back in what you paid into them.  Pluss not only that I am figureing about 25 dollars so far in cans it maybe more than what I think is out there also.  So it will not be bad when I go back to cash them in for the rest of this month also.  There are so many extras that it isen't even funny during the holidays.  And I am thinking of course of what else to get besides the Cool Whip for the pies and cake for Thursday.  Aldi's has helped a whole lot when I was there on Friday.  It is a very funny thing when you try to do everything on a strict budget year after year.  And you get cheaper thru the years also.  Or maybe it is just me doing the very tight budget for the holidays for food wise.  Granted I saved 2 dollars yesterday over at Smokin Joes for smokes.  Even the girl said 2 dollars is 2 dollars.  Here in NY State it is even worse trying to get the saveings in.  The one news place has a news for the money segment 5 days a week and I have most of the Tips that they all shown beat to a pulp around here.  And what they shown on the news is old news and an old habbit here with me.  Four of the light bulbs that are the squiggies as I call them have lasted over 10 years already.  They are the CFL light bulbs.  The trick is not to have all the lights burning at once in the place.  Pluss school days are a nice thing with the kids becuase, they are not home during the week most weeks for about 8 hrs a day.  Granted it is a bit unnerving at first with a bone quiet place but once you get use to it it is heaven on wheels.  Now yesterday while I was out I stoped at a pet store with birds dogs and cats.  I wanted to laugh at one Buddgie and coulden't at all.  The bird said F***ing pretty.  I understood why he was in the back room after that statement out of the bird.  Not good for the kids/tape recorders ears at all.  And all the birds were somewhat loud yesterday and dogs/puppies were even in a good mood also.  Now I don't know how many folks are use to the African Parrots but the bigger they are the louder they are also.  Now I have a Quaker Parrot here at my place he/she can get loud.  I call him Olliver becuase that is what the bird responds to.  Now my old Red Back Parrot was named Bruttis and fit her very well.  Becuase she was a brute in the household.  Some folks do not realize that some dogs will just down right tease birds if you have both in the household.  Bruty would dive bomb the dogs at all times.  Olliver wont bomb the dog but loves to bomb the cat.  Never a dull moment around here let me tell you.  Now after we got Olliver for the most part straighten out and bulked up he has had less problems here than at his privious owners place.  Olliver has seazures becuase of lack of eatting and bad meds.  The woman who had him also Clipped his beak way to short to my standards.  Now Olliver is eatting better and has torn up one box(munchin noodles box).  He doesen't eat what he tears up at all.  So now more will go into his cage for food over the hollidays to see what Olliver eats and doesen't eat.  He can have milk as long as it is cooked.  And a few things will be kept back so he can eat thru the hollidays also.  I know he likes his tuna fish.  So now to start fixing the other stuff also for the hollidays once again.  And lets see where I get at thru the week also.  I know wensday is gonna be just a tourcher day.
