Shaking my head

Well I have not failed as of yet here at all.  So now just to figure out how I will end up doing some things totally and go from there.  Since I try to do things on the cheap here totally for all the things that I do in and out of the household and prove some people wrong.  At this point in time here since I have not tried some things here at all and I am willing to try totally so if I fall flat on my face that is on me not others.  With that being said I will make a phone call here today and tell the person I am going for it.  May as well since I have nothing to loose at all here.  So now at this point I will start looking into things here totally and go from there.  Now to get that much more cheaper here in the household and see what I can do on that end of things also here.  Knowing that if I fail here with trying it is ok now and what I do get will be used for the household anyway after this.  My Husband and I talked yesterday here on what has went on over the years here totally and he was happy that I did pick up the convection oven here when I did 8 years ago now.  Ok so it saved our toushes here more than once and will continue to do so also.  With the move that we did alittle over 2 years ago here it took us almost 3 weeks to hook up the gas line for the oven at the time.  So that is when the convection oven came into play here for cooking along with the microwave for some things.  Now with that being said here I will figure alot of things out here as of today and will not mind it what so ever at all.  All I can say is thank goodness for the dollar stores here in the area totally and go from there also for almost everything.  I may as well do that part also for the place.  So at this point in time here I am thinking good thoughts here and will run with it.  Since I am always working here in the household on the cheap end and it is a never ending battle at times and other times it is ok I can do all of this.  Now with that part I know in what I have to do here totally and I have a good head start on things for the place already.  Now it is full throw down for getting cheaper here for the household and alot of the cleaners to get used up also here while I am at it all to get that part switched over again.  Ok now to start in on the day here and go from there.

Ok now I can not stand the time changes at all that are going on.  Of course I got up early as normal here and I will have to get use to being in bed for another hour around the household.  It also goes along with the parking out on the streets changing again.  So now here I will be thankfull of the driveway here at the house yet again and parking lots to take my walks also while I am at it.  Now as I sit here and I am still thinking on alot of things for the household it should be ok after I start applying alot of what is in my head here.  All I can say is that I know that I have to cut down even more around here in the household and be done with it all yet again.  With everything switched over to the cheaper end of things here and wandering if I am doing the right thing still.  Even some of the other drivers that my Husband works with at this time started hollering about the loads also that have dryed up.  Since we all have cut down on alot of things for the households and went from there it seems like it is not enough in what us women are doing.  I even caught wind of someone else here who had a bad summer for growing things in her garden also in the area last week.  At this time none of us are starving at all since we will contrive to still put meals on the table no matter what here and get all of the bills paid.  Since several of us do things that others are not willing to do at all around the area to cut the costs of the households it is nuts.  All of us have to think out of the box on alot of things here just to make it.  Also now since the one marathon has been totally canned here in the City it is a good thing since some were just not thinking of the ones who do not have water period nor food.  I hate to say this but dumpster diving for food is nothing new at all around the country.  I have done it along with others in my family that I like and love to put food on the table at one time or another.  It is part of life in my family totally for some of us in how far we all came.  So now at this time some of us are doing in what we can to make it still and it is a learning experiance on all of us.  Even another driver asked my Husband in how we did things here in the place.  My Husband told him that I was the one that used coupons and sales togeather for things in the household to help out along with other things that I was doing also at this time.  It is not as bad as it sounds at all here in my place and my neighbors leave me alone about alot of things that I do at this point in time.  As I told one of the kids next door to me that it all takes time to get cheaper and you are like I am here we have to take baby steps to get things totally done and where we are comfy with it all.  Also it means to get the cheaper things at the stores while we are at it here and now.  So after all said and done I do not blame the girl for coming over to her parents house to eat one meal a day since it is a total pain to cook for one person totally.  I guess this is why I fix so much rice for the household here so I can eat a meal here by myself totally.  Also it means that the rice cookers work over time also while I am at it here during the week for things.  So I do understand when people do not have enough food for the table here since I have been there and done it over 20 years.  It is when people start lieing in what they had growing up that makes me madder than snot. 

Looking around

Well I guess that myself and my Husband are lucky here in the house at this point in time.  It does make my Husband wander in what I do all day here when he is not here and he gets a taste of things here when he comes home during the week.  With that being said here there are alot of things that I end up doing for the household to get it all cheaper.  Between shopping and housework here I have learned alot here with the trailer and the house here totally.  With the trailer the power bill was high and the household I ended up with under 45 dollars this month, a huge change here with that part.  At the trailer I would try to get it under a grand for everything and it never worked at all.  Just like for the house at this time it will never work at this point in time also here.  I will get it done somehow here even if it all kills me to do so.  With alot of the prices going up all over the place it gets hard to get on a very hard budget.  When I told some in what I have done over the years they do not believe me at all.  Since I am switching over to the once a month shopping again for the household like I did in the trailer, I have got asked why not shop once a day here.  As I say the once a day shopping is a waste of money totally for the household.  I looked at the gal who asked me that I started laughing since there is enough rice and pasta to choke someone here in my place totally.  There are other things here also for food.  With that being said since I ended up at Wegmans on Sunday for the place and ended up with the boxed mac and cheese for the household for 39 cents per box it was well worth it.  And yes I can expand the 1 box here to have at least 2 meals out of that part of things.  This is why I say that you can get meals for under 5 dollars still to this day here even if the prices are going up all over the place.  This is what some people do not realize here that they can do for the household still to this day.  When I started thinking on some meal plans that I was looking at I was like wait a minute here there can be some tweeking to that part of things depending on where ya live.  I guess this is why I try to get over to places like Aldi and Save A Lot for the house here.  Then there are several other places that I hit up also for food and other things that are needed.  I just do not like paying full price for things here in the household at all.  As I told the one gal last week here she would be better off going to the store with me here so I can show her in what to do to keep the costs low for that end of the household at this point.  Since the gal is up on the internet totally it is not hard to look up recipies at all at this point in time and to get it done on the cheap.  I have so many ways to cook a chicken here that it is not even funny anymore and told the gal that.  It goes along with cheap cuts of meat and the junk that is on sale also at all of the stores.  My Husband started laughing lastnight here when I looked at him off of the one web site and they were saying there is only 20 ways to cook a bird.  I looked at him and said ok there goes the 201 ways that I have and then some at this point in time.  And yes I learned well at the trailer when all the kids would hit my place to see what I was cooking for the day.  That also went along with some people in the park not feeding their kids hardly for a meal.  My question still is what is a small can of what is suppose to be ravioli for 4 kids to eat off of.  Even the CPS worker that hit the trailer asked me what the heck is that and is the gal nuts for that.  I looked at her and said this happends all of the time here for the kids and it seems like the gardian hits my place once a month for a reason after she knew that I was making sauce and chilli at the time.  I will admit that I opened that can of worms for the gal totally for not feeding the kids.  It also went along with that I was bringing in hardly any money also to the trailer at the time or alot less than what the kids gardians were doing. 

Thinking again

Well I will say that I have been thinking again here for the place.  The bad part about about thinking is that I am stocked up on the pet supplies once again thanks to some of the stores here totally.  Since we are going to get alot of rain and maybe snow for this up coming week I figured may as well get while the gettings good totally.  With the one raido program that I try to listen to in the afternoons here in the area one caller reminded me I better get the bird seed along with the dog food here for the household before I really refuse to get out and drive all week here.  So now let the big tree come down if it wants to and I will tell the city here once ya get it cut up throw it into my drive way here after ya get done.  May as well here totally.  So now that I do not have to worry that much here for the place at all at this point in time I am all set on alot of things without the hassles that others have.  With some people worrying about what goes on with the weather and shopping once a week this is why the store shelves go bare when we get a good storm coming threw the area.  I know that some people do not think at all at this point of the what ifs that come up.  With that being said here I guess this is why I try to have things on hand for the household at all times totally.  When I first started of being stocked up for the place was years ago and tackeled a huge job that it all was.  There were extra can goods to get, soaps, some meats, flour, rice, pasta, and many other things to hold the place over if anything happened weather or job wise at the time.  Of course it drove the neighbors nuts along with afew others in what I was doing also and on the cheap.  All I could do was laugh about it at the time and tell some people no when they came over to beg for food.  It takes some planning along with looking for the best deals out at the stores to get stocked up for the household.  With that being said here this is why I ended up with extra cabnets at the trailer and moved them to the house also along with the travel of over 1200 miles to get another cabnet for the household also last year.  The funny part of it was that when I got it into the house here I had to take the dirty laundry out of it along with cleaning it up also before I got things into it here and one person telling me that I was just plain out wrong for getting the cabnet at the time.  I shook my head at the person and said fine what ever here along with you'll see after this bout.  Since I had brought back food while I was at it at dirt cheap prices compaired to NY State's standards last year it all worked out and had more room for alot more also at the time to put in the one cabnet.  I started laughing when the pasta went into one drawer along with the sugar in the other drawer, the sharp knives in another, and an extra drawer for something else that was here in the place.  This is what some did not get at all is that I had the space then for the dang thing along with getting extra space in the kitchen from things cleared out that went into the cabnet.  So with that part done and still here this is what has helped with keeping the back stock on alot of things for the household in food.  Another thing that I did lastnight here was hit the bargin rack at the back of the store while I was there along with good deals and points on my one card here.  There are always ways to save nomatter where you are at in any store period.  When I tried to explain this to some while I was in Illinois they did not get in why I only spent 8 dollars while I was at Kmart at all.  Since I knew that the points were about ready to expire at the time I used almost 100 dollars worth of them while I was there.  It hurt the cashier more than it did me at that point since I knew what I needed also.  The extras did not hurt since I can still use them also now for the place and myself.  May as well be cheap and have it when things are at rock bottom prices.

Well 2 pick up loads of wood and we have another 2 to get out of the one place that we got the free wood at.  With that being said I know in what I will be doing next weekend here also for the household here.  That is the bad part of things around the place besides another long week here again.  So it makes me wander in what my Husband was thinking last night here when he did not turn off the outside light again for the 50th time this year.  Yes it drives me nuts here when he does that along with driving up the power bill for the place.  So I guess I will pay for it this week by keeping everything off at night here for the week again.  Also at least towards the end of the week here I will get all of the laundry out on the lines to help out with that part of things here.  Since I had planned that it would be a mess this past weekend here and it turned out that way anyway besides in what I did to help save money for the place.  Anyway now with this week here for the place I will figure out something to help with keeping things off here in the household to help with the sanity of what is going on.  So as I sit here at this time I am plotting on what to do first for the place of course.  That is nothing new around here at all on that part.  Now to get things alot cheaper here for the household and go from there since that is part of the plot that I have for the week to test it all out to make sure that it will work for me.  I have went without things before here and will try to do it again from now on.  This should be good and will teach me something again.  With that said here at least I will get things done here this week that some would figure that I would never do at all.  I may as well work in the household at this time and go from there while I am at it here.  At this point in time I have broke out the candles for the place here in the mornings so I can keep the lights off as long as I can now.  Also I have to deep clean some of the kitchen so I can save even more here for the household.  With this past weekend here my Husband started hollering about all of the rice that we have in the household also.  I started laughing about it and told him to look in the 2 drawers where I keep the pasta in and ya get one or the other here from now on since ya said something to me about it.  He did not see the humor in the whole thing as I did.  So I will come up with the 101 ways to cook pasta and the rice without a problem at all now.  It will not be that bad here since I can do that part of things for dinners also at this time.  Some will be mad here at me and that is fine.  At least there is food in the house that can be ate up along with other things at this time.  The pasta and the rice are part of the back stock for the household here besides the dish and laundry soaps that I have.  Now that does not include things like T.P., shampoo, conditioner, bath soaps, and snot rags that are here.  This is what I get for having coupons on top of sales for things like that around the area and in PA.

Well at this point in time I have to get my toush in gear for alot of things for the household now.  The bad thing is that I have a pile of dishes looking at me from yesterday after I cooked for most of the day since my Husband was home.  So with that said here I will end up pulling some of the leftovers back for the freezer here and see where I land up for tomarrow here on that part since I will take another look at both freezers.  I will not have to get to the store here for awhile on food and other things that are here totally and that is what I get for having the back stock here in the place.  My Husband started laughing when I ended up pulling things out of the pantry(spare room) for the day that were needed.  He asked if we needed anything I told him no.  With that part we ended up at the one pet store and I finally got out of there for under 30 dollars totally.  Since there is another cage that is here in the household totally and could not stand seeing the 2 little ones sitting around anymore also, I got some things for them and went from there.  The big guys as I call them now have enough toys in their cages that it is just enough that it is not totally full at all just like the smaller cage.  So now since that part is set for the place here there are other things that I will get done for the day here and most of it is cleaning here and acouple of places to stop at while I am out of the household.  Since some of the neighbors figure that I am not busy enough here in my place they would freak out in what I really do all day during the week also.  Between getting some of the cleaning done during the week here and other things that I get done, it is no wander in why I am tired by the end of the week here.  All I can do is keep doing here for the house and go from there.  Since I do alot of things on the cheap here in the place it makes it worth the trouble here also during the week.  Now to get others here in the household on the waggon also for what I am trying to get done here even more so it will help out.  Also here it seems wierd that I am already thinking of all of this since I will have to be tighter than ever here in the coming months while I am at it. 

Thank goodness

Well all I can say is thank goodness that I can drag out my KitchenAid stand mixer here for this weekend totally.  With the cooler weather I will be cooking and baking more around the place totally.  So now at this point in time I know that it is better for the household that I do things from scratch anyway and most of the times winter here is the best time to do things or when it totally cools off for the week.  Since I had the window units here for the household I can not see running the oven here at all to heat up the house so that is why I used the grill almost every day and on the weekends to cook on totally.  With that part I still have propaine left in the one bottle for the grill almost 5 months later here.  So now back to the mixer here, it seems strange that I have really not used that all summer here at all.  But then again with the heat I did not want to make cakes nor anything else in the house here so the poor thing got put back totally untill this week here.  With the KitchenAid stand mixer I can totally trust that it will work here for me and that is how I like it also with alot of things.  Also here since I have been looking thru the cookbooks that I have to get ideas for dinners also on the weekends for the place along with some of the things that are in memos in the back of my mind here, I can make everything on the cheap and still have it come out ok.  With the leftovers that I froze back it is not so bad at all for dinner ideas at all now.  Granted I pulled them back just in case if I did not want to cook for a day or when I go back for surgery here it still works out for the best here also.  Even with my one Aunt when I was down she asked if I wanted peas with dinner and I said that is fine by me since I do like the veggie here she laughed.  So this is why I have almost every veggie known to humans here either in the freezer or in cans at this time untill the garden starts going good.  And yes I have a slicer and shredder for the stand mixer at this time so I can get that part done without pulling the food processor out also.  This is why I do not mind the KitchenAid mixer at all at this point.  So now since there is alot of things that I can do with the mixer here it will not be so bad this winter when I start cooking more here for the place inside.  Also it will get to some of the neighbors that I am cooking more often than not here yet again.  While I was out with my Husband yesterday here I found out that the one dollar store will take coupons also here by the sign that they have in the window.  So now at this point in time here at least I know that I can go back into that store here and save even more money at this time for food and other things that they have that are name brand for the place here.  With that part of things along with other dollar stores I should do ok here from now on for that part of things also. 

Cooking

Well I am cooking again here and dinner will be on the cheap side of things again for the household.  Since I picked up 2 heads of cabbage yesterday for under 4 dollars here, we get cabbage again tonight here.  It is one of the veggies that myself and my Husband does not mind eating all of the time for food.  So there are more cheap ways than some people thought totally around the area.  As someone else told me about 2 months ago that she liked cabbage also and wanted to cook more of it for her place also.  I told the woman that the heads of cabbage are small at the stores since they think they have everyone around the area.  I ended up at one of the farms here in the area totally since I had to go out that way anyway yesterday here I got 2 huge heads of cabbage that are about 7 lbs apiece.  What some do not get is that when there is a will there is a way to streach out the food dollars in the household.  And yes some of the neighbors get in why I try to do that part of the household to where the others are mad in how I do things in the house.  With that being said here alot of the times in the summer here some will not see when I get to the store on the weekends since they are out of their own house most of the weekend here.  Since the one neighbores are out most of the time here they do not see all of the onions, flour, potatoes, noodles, baking pwoder, yeast, sugar, and butter that comes in as staples here for my place.  With that list as the main for my place I try and stock up on that part when I get to the stores here.  Also I throw in chicken, ground beef, and alot of veggies that I can find on the cheap at the stores also.  When the prices hit below a dollar at the stores that is when you try to get as much as you can with your budget that you have for the household.  There have been times that every other month I would get the meats for the house the the other months I would get the veggies.  It all worked out at the trailer. 

Cooking and shopping on the cheap

Ok so I will admit that I do like to cook around the household here.  I figure the cheaper the better alot of the times for the place and I do not mind it at all.  With that being said I am getting back into the coupons here for the household to drag the prices down totally for the place since the weather and the trucking are not going to lie here to me.  So now I did use a coupon last night here while I was at Walmart and saved 55 cents on the total here at the check out lane.  With tomarrow coming up soon here I will have the coupons along with the sales on my side here and my Husband knows this.  That leads up to what I have to say with the sales here with the cooking on the cheap.  Normally if you can get something on sale it is even better on the grocery budget.  This is why I go for the potatoes, flour, onions, butter, pastas, some cheeses, milk by the gallon and or powdered, baking powder, and shortning here for the household as a starter.  In what I do is hike out of the household early in the morning some time during the week here and catch the sales on the meats at the stores.  That also helps out on the budget here for my place.  It was at least a month ago that one of the news channels had a run on the dollar store foods here in the area and how you can pretty much eat out of them totally.  With that being said you have to watch prices totally in the dollar stores nomatter in what you do.  This is why I kept a notebook for the prices where I shopped at totally for the first 6 months for the dollar stores, discount stores, and the supermarket at first.  After I wrote down the size of the item and the price at one store for the month here, then I moved to the next store for the next month here and did the same thing.  With that part said here some items are not that bad at all from the dollar stores.  Some of the stuff that is there you have to get use to the taste.  Since I like the off brand cherrios at one of the stores it pretty much stuck at the trailer then here to the house.  Also we all found out that the box stuffing with the off brand is better than the name brand things and alot cheaper also.  What I am trying to say is if you are on a very tight budget for the household do not knock the dollar stores and discout stores at all for food.  I still laugh at times since I have shopped at the dollar stores here for years and noticed that I can get better deals at times there than anyplace else in the area for some of the things here for the house.  Some of the folks that have came over to the house and walked into the kitchen have seen the tags on the items that I have bought and shake their head.  With budgets getting tighter here for alot of things in every household the food budget gets nailed the first it seems nomatter where you go.  All I can say is take a look around for alot of things at the dollar stores and see what you can get out of them to your advantage here.  They also take internet coupons now days for alot of things that they have.

Well I got the coupons at this point and I will start clipping here tonight while the boys are quiet here totally later on.  After falling into the freezer this afternoon here to take a head count down stairs here and will end up getting out and getting several chickens along with other meats here in the household.  At this point in time here with alot of the coupons that I have sitting on the table here go with the sales for Sunday here also, so I may be good here on that part and the meat that is needed here.  Some people are going to be mad by the time I am done here without a doubt in my mind at all.  I keep reminding myself that the totalls after the card and coupons will prove my point here with the person behind me after I get done.  So now here I have some planning to do tomarrow with the coupons and the sale items that are at the Tops stores here and I will make it all work out.  On top of it I almost forgot that I have rice here in the household along with other things also for the place.  With that being said here I can pretty much cook with very little here without a problem at all and have enough food for the week here.  With some people they did not see in when I was really broke and had very little in the trailer at the time.  All I can do is laugh here in what I can really do for the household at this point still since I am so use to doing on the cheap here.  Since I have been cutting down on alot of things here for the place it does not even bother me when I start to think of what I can do to cut down even more here.  The one gal that use to come over all of the time here to the place would freak out with some of the things that I was doing at the time to get food on the table.  I looked at my Husband when she would start and we would start laughing about what I have done way before she came over all of the time at that point here.  Ok so I will leave that to another post here for later on.

Sitting here thinking

Well I am always thinking on my feet around here. Of how I can do things better or cheaper eather way. Well since yesterday I did hit the sales up at Kmart I saved over 25 dollars. That does not include what is on my card also for the place. Well I understand why the cashiers ask if I want to use what is on the card also. I told the gal I wanted to save it up becuase of I am always broke at points of the year. She diden't blame me after I told her also. Pluss I ended up with alot of the Green Works products to clean the can with. The product does not adjatate the birds what so ever when I use it. So I have stuck with it. In the long run it is cheaper to use the Green Works products anyway. When it takes me at least a month to go thru a bottle of dish deturgant that is 3 dollars normally unless I catch it on sale compaired to the runny brand that is not thick enough to even bother to foam up. Pluss with what I am useing now the dishes seem to come out cleaner than with the other stuff that I was useing. With children in and out of the can alot of cleaners will bother them. This way they can tell thier parents this is what so and so uses also and tell them how it works. I know one little on that was madder than a wet cat on a tin roof on Saturday. She missed the cookie bake off around here over the Easter weekend. I even had her Granddaddy laughing. Anyway I have been thinking and working on how to get my place cheaper anyway and it is an on going battle around here. I like it when it is quiet around here and there's no computer or T.V. going also. Once a person gets use to it it is not so bad. I get more work done around the can without them on. Pluss you get creative on how things are done and what you do without them going. Now around here in what I do is I wright down stuff to remind me of how I did things thru the day. It makes life easier on me. And of course there is no right or wrong way of doing things anyway. Everyone has thier own of doing housework and that is how life is. I learned over 33 years ago it takes all kinds of folks to make the world go around and everyone is differant. Just like there is no right or wrong way of being cheap/frugal also. Everyones needs are differant anyway and some of us do things in what is better for that sittuation. Like with me I hit the sales stock up and use coupons, turn off things while I am home, and make phone calls to get better deals for the utilities. There are lots of ways to go frugal and cheap and sometimes they both go hand in hand. My Hubby always teases me about makeing the dollars scream more than a dozen times before I let it go. I have had others tell me I squeek when I walk also. I laugh about it and say it took me almost 20 years to get like this. I also did all of it slowly also. With some things I ask myself ok do I really need something and is there a way that I can save up for it in the long run. Also another thing that I have is I do not go shopping for items that I do not need also. Outfits are so over rated anyway. I live in sweats most of the time along with T-shirts. Yes I do have about 3 pairs of jeans that I can go out on occations where I want to get kind of dressy. I have been known to show up to the stores in fuzzy slippers and rollars in my hair also. I have nobody to impress and if folks do not like it they do not have to look at me niether. I have been like this since I was in grade school. As I have got older I have also realized that I will cook over going out to dine someplace. It is cheaper to stay home and cook also in my book. Pluss when some folks come over they realize that yes I do cook the scratch meals for the household. And some are like can I try that out and have the recipie after they try it. With me I have a ton of recipies in the household and add things to it and try to spice it up. I also have to leave some things out of course. Oh well lets see what kind of damage I can do to the place today. Have fun and play hard.

Well some stress already

There is some stress around here and nothing that I can not handle at all. Most of it is alot of bakeing and pulling stuff out for tomarrow. Pluss I need to get over to Walmart for Real Milk for tomarrow anyway. Pluss my Husband came in early yesterday and coulden't believe that both sinks wer full of dirty dishes. That is what I get for cooking for most of the day. And a quick phone call to my one grandmother to talk with her while I was getting the sauce ready. That was all that I needed for it to turn out right. If I knew that 15 years ago then I would have called her more while I was makeing the sauce. Pluss the dog was totally funny yesterday when I got the sauce done. She wanted a taste of it and wanted more after that. At this point I am trying to plot out most of the day and trying to get my toush into gear to get alot of this done no matter how warm it gets in the can today. I will be hollering for more fans to get them in the windows around here. Once I get started I should be ok around here on the bakeing and dethawing. I am not sure on the ham or the chicken for tomarrow. I haven't made ham for awhile anyway and that was over 2 years ago for the buff babies. Well now lets see what I can do with this one. Some folks that won't be here at my place and refuse to come over will not know what they are missing for dinner eather way. Not my loss on it again becuase my door is always open to most folks for the holliday dinners. As I say ya snooze ya loose and hatered just grows untill you get to the point of madness. That is why I stoped hateing years ago. Instead the next day with myself I come up swinging and work it off untill I figure it all out. Ok folks have fun and play hard.

It's windy out

Well it has been raining and windy out since this morning. I got out to Walmart for some things for the place. I needed chicken and a few other things also. After all said and done I am still working on the laundery as normal also. Thank goodness I diden't need any deturgant in the place. The prices have went up once again all over the place once again. I try to do everything as cheap as I can anyway. The stakes were just totally thru the roof today that was left in the meat counter. I picked up 2 packages of chicken and a pork roast. Pork and Chicken make up most of the meat in my place along with ground burger. I know some folks who want the regular stakes period in thier households wheather they can afford it or not also. Not around here. As I sit here and wander how high the prices are going to go. It seems like the more I cut back the higher the prices go around here. At least I am trying around here to cut the price of things still eather way. Also my Husband was laughing today in Walmart becuase I was looking very close at the prices. And he threatened the poor cashier that I diden't have coupons for today. I diden't at all for what I did get. I got alot of the off brands today. I got alot of dirty looks while I was shopping. What I do is look for the best deals for my place. Always have and will. Pluss the dog's food was on sale big time in what she eats. With the bird I am ok with the food and the scratch paper. I ended up with 2 big bags of seeds differant kinds of course and mixed them in a bin for him. I also have a scooper for the seed for his dish. The cat she just doesen't care what I give her to eat in dry food. The cat is the easy one out of the bunch. My Husband is the same way he isen't picky on what I cook also. That is why we both eat alot of chicken around here. When I can say that I try to cook cheap I can manage by doing so. I still have alot of rice and flour. I must admit that is what is saveing me around here. That and alot of soups also. SOme folks hollar at me for it and that is ok by me. I have to laugh sometimes about it all. I know some of my circle of friends are very picky eaters. What I slap on the table that is it eat it or starve in my place. Anyway a little planning for the meals goes along way. Pluss alot of flour also. Ok folks have fun and play hard.

Well a long day

I have already had a long day and haven't started cooking yet. I will be the first one to admit to it around here. I also have leftovers in the fridge for here and myself for the week. Now to make sure someone else eats when everyone is away. Now to get some menu ideas up for the week and go from there. I already threatened to show up nakie to make the person eat also. All the laughter and the poor man sitting there like that could work. I never said I was right to begin with. Well after I get to cooking and the man that I am cooking for can not tell me no at all after I get done. Well between thier place and my place they have known my husband longer. After 16 years in May of being up here I know the couple well also that I have to cook for. Now I can really say that cooking on the very cheap around here and for another place will kick in without a problem. That is how I am and will be around here. Now for tomarrow I am not sure what is going on still and I haven't got a call as of yet. At this point I would rather sleep in tomarrow morning after what I have been thru today. My eyes did change also and the new glasses are on thier way here. Now at this point I am trying to figure out everything to start cooking for the next week. And trust me I was thinking that on the ride to and from Collins today. Pluss a few other things for the palce today. Pluss I have been plotting all over the place to figure out what I need to do around here also. Since I did get roped into alot yesterday by my Dear Husband. So now it is a way for me to get even cheaper around here and see what I can do to make alot of food on very little around here. I am not even worried about a picky eater at this moment. I can get people to eat eather way. Ok folks I am off to find more recipies here so have fun and play hard.

Most of the laundery

I got most of the laundery done today. I still have 2 loads left and oh well. Pluss most of the dishes are done pluss I did a bleaching on someones hair also. At one point I did hair. Once I moved I gave up my licence to do hair. I still dabble in hair to this day. I told the person don't worry I got ya and her hair turned out very well. I had both Hippies laughing at that point. Well my Hippy knew what I could do still and I never lost my touch also. It got me out of the house for a bit and I have to cook for someone untill his wife is better. And I will cook for her also when she gets back. There are some things I just won't cook at all. If I won't eat it I won't cook it. And I will start here tomarrow afternoon cooking stuff. Now there are some things that I can freeze once I cook the item. I need eggs here and will get them once my eye appointment is done since they are on sale over at Walmart. I am thinking quick and easy for breakfast items pancakes and muffins. There are other things also thanks to Sussanne at www.hillbillyhousewife.com. I just haven't tried everything on her site at all. While I was at it I ran into one of my girls also. The poor girl is working her toush off and going to school and is flat broke. She cringed when I told her if you are in the area get over to my place and I will show you what to do. I have been there myself for being broke. Now I just cook like I am just as broke and have good food going out of my kitchen on a tight budget. With everything going today I had voiced maybe you should go to and the poor thing agreed with me. Just to get by at the end of the month and to streach out the dollars. There are several in the Buffalo area that she can go to without a problem at all. At 15 dollars a month I can show her what to do with alot of cooking and have enough food in the place. It will not be pretty but, it will get them both by untill things start looking up for them. Now with alot of things there are ways to do things eather way with 2 5lbs of flour, onions, potatoes, eggs,and bakeing powder. Pluss powdered milk and a few other things. Now to start working on the rest of what I have to do around here. I still have to remake the bed and get the rest of the dishes done tonight. I have ran behind for most of the day today. And tonight got worse when I got home and had to cook dinner also. Ok folks have fun and play hard.

How do I react

I dont know how to react at this point I have the place to myself. I am still doing laundery of course and maybe the dishes will wait untill tomarrow morning. I still have at least 3 more loads of laundery to do as of this moment. I am still looking around and just in awe of haveing the place to myself. Oh well at least I can try to catch up on things that need to be done around here anyway while I am at it all. Pluss get more of a grocery list up also. Or should I say a dream list at this point in time. With being so stocked for a good while that you tend to notice when things start getting low around a household. Even the sales have slacked off even. So I may just let the coupons pile up and see what I can do with them all after this. Even my guys over at the fix it shop tend to laugh becuase I always have coupons on me at all times for the place. Every little bit helps in my book. And that is why the Hippy never really pays much mind if I have the buy one get one free and so on in the coupons. Even the Hippy will even say that I am almost the tightest woman he knows besides his own mother. I do try to streach everything out as much as I can around here. Almost have to in todays world. Pluss it is one of the bills that you can controle besides the power bill and a few others in life. It is eather get a good grasp on them or go broke as I see it at this point in time. That is what I am trying to tell the new guy on the block here in the can. Pluss I can say that he is in just total shock that I am trying to do all of this and be cheap about it all at this point. Some he just diden't realize in what was going on since the break off from the crazy lady of the park. Pretty bad when a child asks someone are you with the crazy lady as of yet. One that should have help with finances and just doesen't have a clue of you can't spend everything that you have and then depend on the children that you have to help out at all. The crazy lady as the person is known as complains that there is no money and turns around and starts in on the welfare to get food and everything else for her place. When someone helps her out and she gets mad at them the stuff that got bought for her from that person eather gets tossed or gave away so she can say ooooooooo poor pity me I don't have this or that. Well I have heard from the grapvine that she does this and seen it also with my own eyes. With me I find a way to get something like groceries even if I go hungery for a couple of days untill I can hit a dumpster or collect enough cans to get some food for the place. Or hit up a food pantery one. Pluss I learned real quick that you can make pan cakes out of a cake mix also. It works for food and you can freeze the leftovers of what you don't eat. One of the workers told me about that trick. This is why I say have enough flour, eggs, and powdered milk in the household. Then this way you can make bread sticks and pancakes at least untill you scrape up the money to get other things. I can sit here and tell you alot of the trick of the trade for makeing something out of nothing for food. A few things that I always have is flour, eggs, powdered milk, yeast, onions, garlic, butter/margerine, and sugar. Some folks do not get in why and I can tell you that I can make a meal out of what I always have. That goes with when folks barrow things and you ask if they have an extra piece of chicken and you have an even traid between neighbors. I have made chicken soup out of one piece of chicken and it fed my household for a week after that. When you are that broke you can not complain one bit at all. Ok folks have fun and play hard.

As I sit here and think again

Today is one of them days where I need to clean and a few other things here in the can. What I don't get done today I can finish up tomarrow also. Since folks are hitting my place today I have to do somethings to tidy up the can. All I can do is laugh part of the time anyway and get on my own toush about this. Pluss I am already thinking of dinner while I am at it all. Chicken once again for tonight. There will be some that will be happy about this becuase, rice is going with it all. Well now for some that are here in the household they haven't seen me cook with very little in the can. Now is thier chance to see what I can do for the rest of the month around here. I am not like some folks who throw out food after someone got enough food in another place. Well as I always say if you have potatoes, onions, garlic, a 5lb bag of flour and sugar, and a dozen eggs you can eat. Some folks get mad when that is all I have left in the place also. I can work with very little and run with it all. One night this week there will be pancakes of course. Pluss a few other things going that are cheaper than snot. Eather way some are not gonna like what I have to do today and some will love in what I do. If you ever noticed in other parts of the world they eat alot of rice also with thier diet. I do this also here in my place of course. At this point the rice has been going down to rock bottom prices again. In the area that I am in there are alot of differant nationalities also that want the rice. And some of us did hit the gold mine on it all and realized that we can really cook rice on the stove or the rice cooker. Yes I have 2 bags of rice left here from when I went to PA last year. It was about 3 dollars cheaper in the stores down there becuase there is not such a demand for it as there is up here. For a 20 lb bag of rice it is about 10 dollars. That is the nice part of getting it. Once you get the nack for cooking rice it is a great dish also. What I did was grabed the food pantry rice becuase I had so much of it when I was on food stamps that it took up a shelf in the kitchen. That is how I started and it came out according to the directions. Now I just slap it all togeather without thinking of course. Pluss there are gonna be a few things change on the cassarole of course that I am makeing tonight and that is part of the joy of cooking to make the dish your own in the proccess of things. There are alot of things you can do to make things on the cheap. I also made a promise to myself to eat more rice anyway and now I can. Ok folks have fun and play hard.

Being on the run all day

Well I was on the run since about 945am this morning. I know and I will admit I have been trying to keep busy all day and I will be like this for the next few weeks here to keep my mind off of things. Well my friend will learn very quickly that I am really cheap around here. He has kept me sane somewhat today. Well after I sat down for dinner that is the real first time I sat down to really eat dinner. Now with everything going on I have to rememmber to stop at all times and cook. So I will be cooking on the cheap from now on and keep everyone happy. Also I will be makeing muffins for the mornings around here. It is a quick Breakfast at least for here. Anyway at least everything is coming togeather once again. I will be doing more tomarrow at least. So thanks to Susanne You are a life saver kiddo. Now to just get a bit more time to really start cooking once again. Ok folks have fun and play hard.

Now I can laugh again

Well someone came over yesterday and a comment was made on the new food processor in the kitchen. And what the person doesent know won't hurt her niether on what I had paid for the new appliance. I never pay full price anyway on anything so I will let her think I paid over 200 dollars on the thing when I diden't. Coupon codes are a wanderfull thing at all times. Pluss the person was bragging up on a child who diden't need it also. This is why I only talk to the one person once a month so I don't go into overload and blow gaskets. Well after it's all said and done at this point I will keep to my place and keep the glimmer of hope that I will be out of the can and leave no forwarding address to alot of people one of these days. Anyway at this point it gave me new light on alot of things around here yesterday and that I will be ok after. I have cut and slashed here in the can and started drinking hot tea in the afternoons also. I cut the coffee to one pot a day also. Now to come up with something for dinner tonight and go from there of course while I am at it thru the day. Ok folks have fun and ply hard.

Searching for the recipies still

Now I am always looking for recipies that are on the cheap.  The Hippy at my place is gonna say what the flip is this again.  Now some of the recipies that I have are hand writen of course.  Alot of them are in my head.  I always add extra garlic in some of the things that I have in my head.  SOme I had to crack on my own without the help from anyone.  As I told my Grandmother I finally cracked her stuffing recipie that she always makes for the hollidays.  Straight out of the box and a few other things that go into it and bam I got it this year.  And 15 years later for it.  Ok it sometimes takes me a bit (15yrs later) to get it into the brain that I have.  I had to laugh about it all this year.  Now I can pass this to my children when I start haveing them.  So now also I have been trying to get the recipies that are easy and cheaper than snot.  I will get the cheaper ones wheather folks want me to or not.  As long as I have food in my place that is good and fast along with the cheapness wraped into one.  And the cook wear that I have does help out also.  Since they took the Ultrex pots and pans off the HSN all over the place and other places I have to find other pans and pots to use.  Well with the teflon I have to watch it with the bird here.  I have tried a Green Pan from Joy Mangono and Todd English I love it.  It wont bother the bird if I tourch bacon in it.  You can tell when someone who has worked in the food service for way to long when the only way they can eat bacon dang near burnt at all times.  I can really laugh becuase I told my Aunt to tourch the bacon for me while I was there.  Even the baby loved it.  Bad habbits on my part and I barely shared it.  At my Aunts house she will tell you I dident flip out I shoved her out of the kitchen for the party.  When it was all over with she looked at me and asked about my feet.  I said they were alright untill I laid down that night.  I was in tears when I had charly horses in my arches of my feet.  When I got home I diden't want to cook to save my own toush.  I let the Hippy cook for a couple of days untill I could get my bearings back.  After what happened with him down in Punxey Pa the one year Scratch my back for a change.  Poor man was lost for a week after he came back to my place.  When I can fill a regular Buggy at the store down there for 33 dollars for the sales that went on.  Guess what I did it all.  I diden't even use coupons that day.  So cooking on the cheap is what I do around here.  For some folks it is hard to cook on a budget.  They have to have the most expencive things in thier kitchens.  Then try to put out a meal for the place.  WIth myself I can have soup all week long and go from there.  I do not pull from the freezers hardly at all for with me just here.  And why should I cook a big meal with left overs when there is just me here.  Now with that being said I save on the gas bill along with the eletric bill also.  All I really do is heat up the tea kettle for the soup packets that I use.  It gets funny around here the dog looks at me like soup again mom.  And it leads me into the heat problem around the cold areas of the snow belts.  Now with heat I have gas for the most part for the furnace here at the can so far.  Unless I have the oven going of course.  Still it is bad here when it gets below the 20 degree mark here.  I can tell you I have worked in the worst conditions at all times.  When 3 space heaters make the room 40 degrees and it is below zero out side you know that there is a problem.  Where the room was maybe 20 X 20 and the 3 space heaters had a problem it is cold out.  I stuck frozen dinners in the other part of the office that I had and it kept frozen also and the tea was cold after 5 min in the microwave after 2 min in the room also.  I can laugh now about it but, at the time it wasen't at all.  The poor Racoons that hit my room were fighting over the heaters along with the rest of us there it was totally cold.  I had kits in the room also.  Momma and Daddy knew I wouldent bother the babe's that they had becuase we were in the same boat.  I had kits in my lap and at my feet also trying to keep warm.  They all knew I had to move every so often for the work I did.  I ran as many computers as I could also to put heat into the room.  Even that diden't work at times in the office.  Pluss we all brought in our own T.P. also.  Between the heat and other things that some of us did in the Companey that went belly up NY State should take notice on what to do.  THat is what the Empire Zone gets you also.  What was a water bill along with several other things.  When some of us had a 4' drift of snow in the other half of the office that we had.  When the EPA walked in I told them if I ain't glowing by now get out of here.  A nuke is buried not even a 10th of a mile from where I live at.  They checked my room and it was all clear.  They asked how I kept warm in the winter and I laughed and said a burn barrel.  Now to see all of the Rottin Polititions make it where I worked at they couldent survive week after week on what I brought home at the time.  At 7.25 an hour most folks can't make it at all.  Now set a huge tight budget off of that and see how far you can get at the grocery stores.  And that is for Everything.  Pluss pay bills off of what is being brought in.  That is why Aldi and Save A Lot and I are best of friends.  Along with the dollar stores also.  Now when the Hippies sister would come up and stay with me she would get mad at me becuase I cooked full meals that were hot at all times.  Who wants a cold flipping sandwich after being cold all day.  So I cooked and then some just to warm some of us up.  We would hover around the oven for heat.  Pluss with the both of us working at the same place I could do a load of laundery a day also.  SO extra heat in the can.  Well with 3 pluss layers a day the laundery adds up quick.  When I was on tear down I found out to get a wall of Power Supplies on my desk with one space heater worked well.  I was warmer than the other 2 on tear down and they had a frog shoved up the toush also.  THe frog is a turbo heater with karoseen.  If I could get a roof on the wall of power supplies on my desk I would have done it.  Pluss the sales of power supplies for computers went thru the roof also from my desk.  It was kinda funny untill I had to tear the wall down and rebuild it.  There are ways to save money and keep warm also.  Ok folks have fun and play hard.
