About ready to start slashing big here

If I could live without power at this poing it would be all good around here.  Part of the joys of looseing the power so much you learn ways aroung alot of stuff to start in on doing.  Pluss there is the candel shelf in the one holding center that I have.  Tells you in how many times I have lost power up here.  So eather way if I could I would go without.  Anyway I have to cut something out and I am thinking of the land line again.  I have the computer and the cell phone going.  And I can really deal without T.V. also.  I despize both to a point.  Well I can say you can get the news over the computer thru live streaming.  They finally got with it up here in Buffalo.  They call this civilized living up here when it is not half the time.  Thats the funny part of it all.  Oh and Verison is back in the neighborhood again for the first time this week.  The trunk line is shot around here in the park.  That is one reason I had droped Verison is that they would not fix the problem in the phones.  So I ended up with Time Warner for everything and it has been up more than down.  That is the nice part of the cable lines.  Now to pick up the mess that I did last night.  Have fun and play hard.

never board around here

Well I can say that I am never board here in the can.  I am just very tired at this point trying to find a job.  And the hardest part is the wait for the interview in my book.  So I have started to make a list for things to be even cheaper on.  Now to just get alot of things done on the list of course.  So now it will be the just doing part and sticking to my guns for the what to do list.  Now that will be the hard part of everything and getting others to agree on stuff for the house.  So eather way people are not gonna like me at all around here.  So I will realy start for the free stuff hunt on the net to see what I can come up with and lower all the bills around here also while I am at it all.  It will go hand in hand for a very long time of course.  Or at least untill the new habbits set in around here.  So it looks good with alot of stuff but you never know what to expect on any given day.  So I will start everything out as not spending hardly anymore for the house unless I really have to.  Then go from there also.  At least I am stocked up on alot of stuff for the can.  So eather way I will have to run a tighter ship with alot of things around here for the bills going out again.  I will get the bills down eather way even if it all kills me in the long run around here.  So eather way I will let you know how it goes and what I have done to cut the bills down.  Have fun and play hard.

Big hit yesterday

The cake went faster than I could hollar that I wanted a piece of it.  So the party went off without a hitch and I dident drop the sun tea yesterday niether.  So now today I get to sit around and fill out applications becuase the working from home is not hacking it anymore.  And I will find the balance of work and home once again when I do get a job outside of the can here.  It will be rough untill I get into the swing of things once more of course but it is well worth it.  Just to keep my sanity going.  Now to find out what kind of trouble I can get into other than sitting here on my toush all day.  I may take a walk here shortly to clear everything out of my mind.  I am so thankfull anyway on so much around here that I can see that things need to be done and they won't today.  So the main goal is to see what I can do for today and be somewhat lazy over it.  Ok folks have fun and play hard today.

The cake is in

The cake is in the oven.  It is not bad for the first run on the recipie.  Lets see in how it turns out tonight.  Pluss I will be makeing a chocolate cake also for myself.  One wanted yellow and I wanted chocolate so guess what we both win today.  The pen is still in the base of my pony tail so I can check off the list I have for the moment.  At least I will not loose it this way.  So I will let you know in how much of a hit the yellow cake went over.  Then it had to rain today also.  All I can say is bummer.  At least I will have people over and the Electrition to share the b-day with.  Along with his wifes daughter same b-day as mine.  This could be fun with all 3 of us within 2 days.  Well within the matter of minuts I got the taters and onions done pluss one of the cakes is cooling.  Pluss the trip to Walmart dident hurt as bad as I thought it would.  46.60 for the bill not includeing the .60 that I had in bottle returns(that wasen't all of them).  So 46 dollars later and I have everything for the party tonight and tomarrow.  Like that's a bad thing.  And that is the dollar fifty that I picked up in cans also for today and tomarrow for the beer.  So I guess it isen't as bad as I thought it would be for today.  Going shopping always did scare me in some ways.  The trick is DO NOT TAKE ANYONE WITH YOU.  I found out the hard way with my ex hubby and the hippy now.  Sometimes all I can do is shake my head.  And I still forget stuff at the store.  Then there is always more in the cart also by the time I leave the stores nomatter where I go with someone.  So most of the run was for myself and food for others in the household.  The one bullet of ground meat was on sale today so there are the burgers then of course I had to buy the heat doggies while I was there (hot dogs).  Much cheaper than the chain stores around here for the same thing.  The BarS Hot Dogs are good.  They are cheaper than most but that is ok by me.  instead of 2 for something it is 88 cents for a package of 8 heat doggies.  Pluss they taste better than the name brand stuff out there.  It may be a northern thing not sure as of yet.  So have fun everyone and play harder.

Another year older

Another year older as of tomarrow.  And I am throwing another party maybe today.  It will be on the frugal side of things of course.  And over the years I have realized who in the heck needs a cake mix when I can make a cake from total scratch.  It's not like I do not have everything here in my can to make it.  So now to just get up off my duff to do something about it all.  Two cakes for two differant people I can handle it.  After the party of 90+ people I got cracking at in June of this year.  If I had my hand in the buying for the party my aunt would not have spent as much as she did niether.  It was wild from the time I walked thru the door at her place to the time I walked out.  It was all good fun also.  It is one of the aunts I really like also so it made it all the better going and doing.  I guess that's what I get for throwing parties all summer long at the can.  So now to also make the homemade burgers also along with tater salad and a few other things.  Anyway I better get off my toushie and do something.  So have fun and play even harder.

Laughing again

I finally drove the electrition to almost insanaty today.  Well what can I say except he thinks I am way over the line of being totally cheap.  I threatined to take the cans in for the birthday cake.  His wife thought it was down right funny and about fell out of her chair.  Ok so I never clamed to be right in the being down right frugal part of life.  I have to remind him every so often that I can do things cheaper than he can and mean it.  So eather way the cake for the double bday will be made this year of course.  Ok now you will find out that I can bake and like to bake.  I figure why get a cake thats all dry and just plain nasty from the stores up here when I can make it better out of my own kitchen.  The trick is I dont over bake it and who needs toothpicks to tell if it is done when it starts pulling from the sides of the cake pan then it is done.  Anyway at least I havent been bothered to much with the neighbors as of yet so it is all good.  Ok folks have fun I have to run out to Walmart to get a few things so play hard and be safe.

Almost done with housework

The day is almost done and I have been busy with alot of housework that I have been ignoring over the past few days.  I have been Decluttering every place around here.  What is even funnier is that the can looks worse than when I started.  So I have alot of work to put stuff pack int its place.  And that is ok at least I know in what I have again.  Pluss I am getting all the winter stuff out also while I am at it.  So yes I had enough laundery to choke the worst horse with on top of it all.  So while I was trying to decluter the kitchen Oliver desided to start barking.  All I could do was laugh.  So I have a barking bird now.  I knew he would fit right on in with the other 2 fur balls.  Ok now to get everything back into its place and go from there.  Have fun and play even harder.

Not much today

Not much going on around here today at least.  I can not wait till the snow flys around here.  Here in October of course.  So now it is just cool weather out here 62 out here today.  Which is very unusual for this time for Augest.  In the same since at least I am not poping alergy meds like candy being up here in NY.  So now I get to start weatherizeing the Tin Can for the winter months.  Pluss to dig out the heavy comforters out of the bins.  At least I get back part of my closet during the winter to store other things.  So yes I still have alot of work to do other than traiding stuff from the closets.  There's still laundery to do and other things to go along with traiding for the Summer months to the Winter months around here.  I at least try to hang heavier blankets up at the windows once it gets chilly enough.  Now I do have space heaters that I did use at the werehouse.  Before the doors closed.  One will be near the Bird of course for when it gets real bad out.  It is really wierd in how blocking off the windows keeps the place eather warmer or cooler depending on what time of the year it is.  Oh and since i do not have a concreet pad under the can since it isen't per code for some trailers around here everyone gets to plug in heat tape.  Now for new Cans coming into the park they have to have pads under them.  There is such a thing as a freak twister up here even.  Oh well at least I could always get picked up and put into a better neighborhood.  So lets see what happends this winter.  The worst is I get to pack the house up during the winter and move.  Like I haven't done that before in my life.  And at least it is not like i did for someone when thier sister passed on in another state.  That was fun driveing the back roads with ice and snow with a fully loaded van.  I can still laugh about it today.  Thank goodness I am still that spit fire.  Some things never change from when I was a teenager.  I just know what and when to do something and to plot more now.  I think it comes with age and experiance.  Just like cutting corners in the household.  And getting to do things somewhat your own way.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder.

Another long night

Well I just threw out visitors from my place.  People from a good band The Eletric Rodeo.  The name says it all.  I will have to snap some pictures the next time we are all out togeather.  The long night is kicking in of course becuase of to much stuff to get caught up on again.  I may just get some sleep and do everything tomarrow so I don't wake up the neighbors as normal.  Ok folks have a good one and play hard.

Now to do more

Ok now that everything is alomst unpluged again.  And I did find out that I am cheaper than most of my family on one side.  Since I do not have a mortgage pament.  I am doing the happy dance around here.  And all I can and still do is laugh about it all now.  I finally surpassed my Father also on being cheap.  I got a nice flier in the mail for my supposad aunts Birth day coming up.  I will NOT BE GOING to it with such short notice.  Pluss my Bday is before hers and I REFUSE to break traditions with my elecrition whos Bday is the next day.  So with that being said I will stay home.  Now with being cheaper than my Father.  There is alot that he diden't know about myself being as frugal as I am.  And no I haven't said a word about going to the auction on this past Saturday.  Well there is alot that I do that he dident realize that I have done.  Like with the cans first then the dryer sheets with cutting them in half.  My aunt about had a fit over that one when I cut it in half in front of her.  Then like the bargin racks that I so do appreciate also at the stores.  I have it down to a sience in the stores.  Of what and when to hit.  There are so many things that I have done to save money that it is not even funny anymore.  I have even used the dryer sheets that have been thru the dryer for dust rags also.  Another good thing is with the dryer sheets they are a good skeeter repelant also.  I have also saved bread bags when I was buying loves of bread.  It came in handy when I broke my 3 fingers in one shot at work.  So I could still do dishes when I could grab something again.  Who knew about some things.  The bread bags also make great dirty diaper holders when you are on the run in the car or in the diaper bag.  Becuase you can put one in then tie a knot in it for the next diaper.  It will hold at least 4 diapers in one shot.  Well it is one of the tricks to haveing kids also.  I can really laugh sometimes about it becuase there's so much that can be reused then recycled after 101 uses of things.  Like the empty gallon plastic icecream containers.  I have one for line pins, one for dirty dish rags, then one for old bird seed.  It is the stuff that Oliver doesent like.  They come in handy for Barbie shoes also.  Pluss alot of other uses.  So think about ways to reuse something in the household and the bargin racks at the stores.  You will go alot further than what you think you can.  Spice it up also.  Have kids redecorate it as a project even to give it a new flair.  You will be surprized in what they can come up with also.  Ok folks have fun and play harder.
