Thinking of cheapness

I am thinking of cheap dinners for myself again.  Since there is only me around here without the Hippy I am cooking for one again.  I think that's the hardest thing to do is cook for one person.  So I am thinking of things to cook for myself this after noon and I need to start looking at recipies again for taters.  They were on sale at Walmart this week of course.  And with the rain that was out there this afternoon thank goodness I dident have to get out to walk anywhere.  And I have enough stock on hand to ride out a storm with at any given moment.  Also I can walk if there is a driveing ban out on the roads.  That is one good thing of walking and being near by with all the stores.  I see the mall out of the bedroom window the kitchen is Walmart/Wegmans out of the front windows is Tops.  And all of them is about a 10 min walk eather way.  I will watch the sales during the week and go from there.  Also if and when I run out of coffee I have tea bags with honey to use.  Now I do have a cup of tea in front of me of course.  For pennies on the dollar.  I can laugh sometimes becuase I love my tea and coffee.  When it becomes cool or cold out I go for coffee in the morning and tea after the first pot of coffee.  Eather way I win becuase I traid off.  So for dinner tonight I will be going thru the recipies that I know of and going for the cheap.  Bread sticks sounds good for dinner but what else beats me to no end around here.  So I will be surching for the cheap way out tonight.  Ok folks have fun and play hard.

A quiet day

Finally got a quiet day today.  One child still suspended and the other skiped.  Ok I never said that the 2 from 34 were right to begin with.  The whole happy meal short includeing the bag with those 2.  Anyway at least it was very quiet today so I could think about cutting more corners here in the can.  The temps are droping on top of it around here in NY also.  SO that means I get to move the bird away from the doorway for the winter so I have to rearange the liveingroom again.  This should be fun to say the least around here.  I have the recliners in the love seat and sofa.  Makes my back hurt thinking about it all now.  To plan all this out in the room and in my head becuase I am only moveing this all once without help.  Oh and with the pre paid cell NEVER go with tracfone at all.  Now they want to put min on the phone when its way to late.  The company does not want to credit my account for the money that was spent.  After I fought with tracfone for 20 min then the Hippy faught with them for another 20 min also.  And that is what they all came up with from the office floor.  We will se waht corprate says on the matter.  So with that being said I will be back.  Have fun and play even harder.

Cooking all day again

I will be cooking all day again and I do not mind it at all.  Tomarrow will be another busy day of course.  Cook all day today and get the house work tomarrow while I am here alone.  It is not as bad as it sounds just some touchups on the can.  And of course I will be streaching every bit of cleaner out around here.  Bills are over rideing the can as normal.  I am takeing it one pay check at a time and paying the bills off as much as I can.  Next week is scarry only becuase rent is due again.  Eather way I can barely do any grocery shopping again.  I have enough food in the can so we can all eat good on the weekends.  I will be going somewhat vegetarian since there's only me around here.  I get to kind of laugh about all of it now becuase it doesen't take much to make me happy anymore.  A quiet house is very well on my ears also.  While I was at Walmart yesterday for a few things and it ended up at 50 dollars to get out of there as normal.  So I will be streaching out more around the can and everyone is gonna run scared by the time I am done this time around again.  With the bird paper cheese and a few other things that was needed around here the poor cashier started laughing.  Helps to know the checkout lane girls and guys at all times.  The poor girl asked where are the cans at along with the coupons.  I have to admit for yesterday in all that I did get I had no coupons for and I dident have enough cans to take in at the time.  Now to really start cracking in the yard and start picking them up again.  Oh well I better get back to the bakeing of the bread.Have fun and play even harder.

Well lets see

What a day yesterday.  I had people in and out all day yesterday and liked it.  Then some of my friends seen what really goes on here on this end of the park.  And we have a couple of fire bugs back into the neighborhood again.  Who knew a can could go up in 7 min and be totally burned out.  So now I will be staying home more without the Hippy here of course.  And other children at trailer 34 being suspended for another week I think I will be sticking close to the can.  Anyway I have been going without the T.V. and computer for most of the day here for the past 2 days and it really hasen't bothered me to much at all.  Just wandering if and when I can go back out to the reservation for one of the last nasty habits that I have left.  Well with NY State with thier hand out for taxes out in the regular stores for smokes they are up to 80 dollars per carton of smokes.  Over at the res. they are 20.25 per carton for the cheaper brand and 40 dollars for the name brand carton.  Go figure on that one.  Thank goodness the 7 Nations here stuck to thier guns and stood up to the money hungery state of NY.  I thought we all were gonna have a repeat of what happened 14 years ago when I first got here.  I would have crossed anyway without fear again.  Oh well lets see what goes into flames today and go from there.  So have fun and play even harder.

It dident last long

Well I am sitting here listening to a radio that is not mine again and Sabre Prk nor anyone else will do anything about it.  The kids were geering 34 highly after school today so it got around the park fairly quick.  Anyway with that being said, it was a fairly frugal day and I did get some cleaning done.  I will tell you I just do not like wipeing down walls and cielings at all anymore.  Next are the carpets before the snow flies again.  Alot of work of course.  At least most of the can will be fresh for the winter time again.  Well more can get done tomarrow depending on how I feel also in the morning.  Pluss to start planning for the weekend again for what to cook for the Hippy.  Oh well I will be back later have fun and play hard.

Picking out cell phones

Pick the cell phone companies with care so you do not get taken.  Trac Fone just took me for 30 dollars here recantly.  The minutes went thru like normal when I paied over the computer and never got added onto the phone.  So now I went thru Cricket cell service and am happy with that.  Tax wright off anyway with one phone becuase it is a buissness phone.  Verison is fairly good also if you went pre paid with them and switch to regular cell service the left over min that I had on the pre paid got added on to the regular phone.  So now all I can tell you is to shop around big.  To save money and the right plan for you.  And while I was up at the Cricket store all Heack was breaking loose at the trailer across the street.  Well at the ripe old age of 13 a girl ODed on pills.  Well mandatory 72hr observation on the S5 or S2 eather way now.  That is what I was coming home to also.  2 Niagara county sherriffs out front and front row seating.  I swear I can wright a book on the park with the last 14 years that I have been here.  I will change the names of the innocent people here and keep the bad apples names true.  Anyway now to sit around and wait on everyone to get back to my place to pick up the phone and a few other things around here.  I am not cooking for myself tonight at all becuase I am not hungery one bit after the crud I sifted thru with the tracfone at all.  Well at least I will loose weight at the same time while I am at it.  And I don't go out to work why now.  And I am a house wife why.  OF course I am giggleing.  Only in As Sabre Park turns as I say it.  Anyway now I know why I am going dirt cheap here in the house at all cost at this point in time.  Oh and the house phone will go here shortly only becuase I do not need it at all at this point.  When the power goes so does the phone anyway so eather way may as well keep the cell phones and loose the house phone.  Anyway have fun and play even harder.

Ok I am being cheap.

I have been saveing money today.  Even though I am not on the net all of the time doesent mean that I have been running the computer niether.  Pluss there is alot of things that I have been doing today also.  So yes I have streached out everything out that I did use also today.  I will be watching everything from now on going in and out of the can.  The morning started kinda with the boy across the street at 34 Sabre Park skipping school again.  A waste of tax dollars right there for school.  Since It is the 4th day this week he has skiped and the school doesen't care at all.  So I have been laying low also.  I am surprized that the radio hasent been blairing from 34 sabre park now.  Well that's it for now I think I will make a few phone calls to see what else I can do about this child across the street.

About the state laws

I found out there's nothing I can do for the child skipping school.  I madder than a wet cat on a tin roof.  I pay taxes here for school and the child refuses to go.  So tomarrow I will start calling if the child skips tomarrow.  IF and when I start haveing children I will deffanatly do the home schooling thing so there's no excusses on to skip school.  It has been 3 times within a week for Robbie Keyhole to skip school.  Girls If you are In the NIAGARA FALLS area run from this boy totally.  SO now you all know why I am about ready to pack and dash from this trailer park.  So I will be cutting corners and being so cheap that I have no choice in putting money back.  I say every penny counts.  I ment it also.  So this time I will be putting money back and liveing off the nesessities in life again.  So I can get out of here quicker as I say.  Dog dirt cheap there is several tricks that I have up my sleave to not spend money.  Walking is one and shopping for the month is another.  Cutting back as much as I can also on all the bills is the third reason.

Going dirt cheap now

Well today I am going dirt ultra cheap around here in the can.  I did pick up 10 cents off the ground walking up to pay a bill today.  Now I have a seperate jar for the bottles and cans that I pick up off the ground in my walking to places.  I was thinking of a seperate jar for extra money also and I found a way and a will to do it.  Now no excusses at all at this time.  So now I can say that I did good today.  The funny part is that it is on a Monday and I was going over to Tops supermarket to pay the power bill for the last 2 months.  So now nobody can say I diden't pay it at all.  Unlike some people I know who do not pay a gas bill what so ever And have a bill that is over 3 grand that is over like 3 months at a time.  I think I will take the 100 dollars on the budget plan instead of 250 a month at all costs.  Ok lot rent is 345 a month and not much room not includeing the extrat 20-50 dollars that the slum landlords will carge for next year.  Then 160 a month for the storage locker not includeing the rest of the bills per month.  Then the neighbors that are the mouches of the house.  I came up with a plan for that also.  It is about 2 dollars a pack for the cheap brand of smokes at the reservation.  I pull the 2 dollars that the one mouch gives me for a couple of smokes in the jar that I have and that's the house and kitchen cook stove fund.  Ok I will admit that some people need to cut the apron strings from thier mommy as of now when they are 25 to 35 years of age.  That's the mouches live-in boyfriend that she has.  So eather way they all need to learn on how to cook also.  Anyway now that I have thought about tis and stewed over what was said to me yesterday by the mouches now I will rake them over the coals this time around also.  And untill then I will still be cutting corners and cutting back as much as possible around my place between cutting the computer and other things also.  Coupons are a wanderfull thing still at this point also.  and being as dog cheap as I can around the can.  So I will be cutting alot more around here in the natural gas and Power bills so I can rape NY State eather way I go to.  Now with this morning I heard on the news the Wanderfull Presadent that we all have supposadly told the governer not to rerun for the position becuase he hurt most of us people that are left In the State when everyone in the CITY is getting the pay offs.  Ok Ok I came from Illinois the worst state for the governers to be corupt and go to jail after What about the Spitzer girls and Spitzer not going to jail along with Patterson for just being stupid on everything like rasing taxes for us broke sons of pups who make NY State run and who haven't left yet.  I say the dollar stores are good and most need to bring in theier own TP to work in the government.  Oh and no heat in the capatol at all except space heaters that they bring in for thier offices.  I have worked in the worst of places without heat except the heat from 3-5 space heaters in the office that I was at.  It gets nasty when the High for the day Is 6 below zero out side and the high of 12 to 20 below in the building.  So now you know why I do not mind being a house wife after that one.  The key is to rebudget and see what you can cut out.  Brining in luches to work and cutting out the Starbucks coffee in the mornings.  Also I have took in lunches myself.  The one good thing about the office that I had half of it was a freezer and a snow drift of 3 feet to 75 in with the space heaters.  I know cold in the work place. Ok folks have a good day and play even harder.  

New lease on everything

Now I have a new lease on everything after a couple of us girls got togeather tonight.  Maybe thats what I needed today.  The Hippu dident get out of here untill about 1:30 this after noon.  Well What I have in mind is totally differant than what he had today.  As someone said that us women at the point of our feet touching the floor have to think of what we have to do for the day.  Mine is for the week at all times.  Especilly now adays.  So my feet hit at 4:30 this morning running and mind raceing as normal.  Now I have a new lease on being dog cheap as I call it for everything and a friend of mine reminded me of her hubby.  Well guess what I have a new outlet on doing things this week of course.  Yes I am just dog tired at this point in time.  That does not stop me of thinking of how cheap I can really go this week and from now on during the week.  I am here alone of course and can beat everything now.  I will be the worst on really streaching and being frugal/cheap after today.  So I will tell more tomarrow night when I will be back on the computer.  SO have fun and play even harder.

Today is Sunday

Now to start thinking of the week again today and start makeing lists all over the place.  Pluss Fotball will be on all day.  So it will be a switch for haveing the can to myself for todays football.  That is a scarry thought in its self now. I will start cooking for the Hippy way before noon today so he will have at least on hot meal befor he leaves out at between noon and 2 pm today.  He is under a hot load for Canada now.  That means I probably won't see him untill at least friday again.  Now I can be as cheap as I want during the week here with just me in the can so I will be cutting alot of things out again with pleasure so I can get alot of the bills down of course. There's alot that I will be doing only becuase of money is really tight at the moment.  For this month I have to untill we all get rolling again.  And since Mondays are a big cleaning day for me around here I will be more than likely cleaning for most of the day.  It takes very little cleaning supplies around here for me to do the job that everyone laughs that I am way to frugal and cheap.  It is the borderline for myself to be like this.  And there is some people who come over and it is like they eat the TP and paper towles and do not care about it.  So I will be streaching my heart out this week becuase I just do not like going broke for anyone else just becuase they all want me to.  I really do not keep up with the Jonses at all with good reasons.  When I am being down right dirt cheap it means that I am saveing up for something and will get it at some point in time.  I realized this on Thursday of last week that at this point I am so sick of the kids in the Park that it is not even funny anymore.  Now I will be doing some unconventual things aslo to cut everything down again and start rereading alot of info while I am on the computer during the night hours.  Then go from there again.  I know there is still alot that I can cut corners on and I will say I am not perfect at all still at the being frugal to down right cheap at all.  I have done alot of work on it of course and I will continue to work at it all still.  What I do is try to cut the money robbers first then takle the rest in due time.  And theres alot that I do while I am at the big money bills that cut the pay in half.  In what I do may not work for everyone at all.  That is why I say do what you feel is right for you.  If it doesen't feel right then do not do it.  Some things you have to get use to like cutting the paper plates out of the house.  I think they are a waste of money myself since you have to do the dishes anyway eather way you look at it. Yes I have cut that out of the grocery budget all togeather.  Now I know some children are very clutsy my nefew was that way no matter what we all did.  So we broke out the plastic wear for his plate to stop the shards of glass from the dinner table.  Once he got old enough to have glass wear again it was all good after that.  I can still laugh about it today and he is 20 this year.  I will say this even that it was hard to break from some bad habbits on wasteing money and not so hard in other areas also.  Now it is still hard sometimes becuase I do get lazy every so offten that I just don't want to cut the dryer sheets in half and they get ignored untill I have to do it.  Ok folks have a good day and play even harder.

Well had a quiet house.

Now you all know that I enjoy a quiet household.  So the Hippy came home last night and I really have to say that I do have to wistle for his socks again for the washer.  That is the only bad thing of him going out on the road again is the bad foot odor.  Thank goodness I still have Odo-ban.  It takes about 22oz for a gallon of water.  The gallon that was given to me and said here try this is still kicking around two and a half years later becuase you use so little and it dose the job on most bad odors.  Now I may joke still to this day about it all of the Holy Water for the sofa that the Hippies sister had sprinkle and flames instantly.  There was no helping the sofa after the cats desided to go on it.  That and a few other things were just burned.  There was no way of  the sofa coming clean nor odor free at all.  That's what happends when people get sick sometimes.  On a happier note here the washer is going and the laundery will go out on the line even though its 45 outside.  Four more loads to go out on the line.  May as well use the outdoors to dry laundery all it takes is a bit of your time to hang them and take them off the line when they are dry.  Now you can understand why I am harder on wasers than I am on the dryers in my household.  Yes I live in NY State and that's how I keep the power bill down also.  I know alot of the NYSEG customers thier bills are more than likely going up another 25% this year.  That is just the taxes again not the useage.  And alot of people do sit in the dark alot around here.  Maybe that is why when the power goes out I do not freak out over it and I do not mind at all.  The only way I notice when the power goes out is when the clock on the oven goes out.  That is what I get for not running anything during the day for most days.  Now this week I will have one show on at 3pm on monday and other than that the TV can sit there off and off at the power strip also.  I can laugh now becuase I do not own a regular radio at all except the battery opperated one with head phones.  I still do not use it at all.  The coffee pot is off also around here most times with the crafe here in the house I have stoped burning coffee.  So do what you feel comfy with and start slow at first so theres not a total backlash from anyone in the house.  That was my problem when I first started out trying to cut back here in the can.  There were alot of places that I just loved to go to to save mone and still do.  Some are within walking distance for me some are not.  Of course I will have to wait untill the 8th or 9th of the month for a ride but that is ok by me.  Pluss with Walmart right here behind me it makes it easier to walk.  Alot of things are cheaper over at Walmart than Aldi.  Take the closer of the eviels and go to that store.  Now with that being said some stores do not have everything that you need anyway.  SO what I would do is go over to Walmart then over to Aldi becuase they were at one point across the parking lot from eachother.  Now with the Super Walmart right in plain view from my kitchen I can walk there.  And yes I walk back with the granny bags.  Nobody minds around here at all.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder today.

Don't have a clue today

Ok as I sit here and think of when the Hippy will be home I do not have a clue as of yet.  I will be makeing everything scream out more than once before I let it go again and be cheap.  One nice thing about today is that I did get a load of laundery outside on the lines.  But not much else done as of yet.  It is one of them lazy days for me. Who knows when I will start bakeing around here.  The neighbors havent even bothered with me today niether.  Go figure you start to run out of things and tel them NO they don't even know you anymore around the neighborhood.  So oh well thier loss not mine anymore.  Now I am sitting here thinking of tomarrow also and what I will do for the day besides more laundery of course and a few other things.  It has been fairly quiet today so far with the kids in school except for the one who got susppended from school yesterday.  Can't win for loseing sometimes.  I think I will grab another cup of coffee and see what happends after that and what else I can do since the whater tank should be full with hot water again.  Have fun and play even harder.

Shakeing my head

This morning it was 55 inside the can.  So I had to flip on the one space heater this morning and the temp rose to 72 with just 2 rooms to heat up.  I am more worried about the pets in the place than I am myself.  SO with that being said the fur balls and the feather ball were happy with the heat and me this morning.  So Olliver is ok after yesterdays spazzing out on the bottom of the cage.  In fact he flew right to me this morning when I stuck the towel and hand in the cage to hold him.  So all is fairly well around here so far and no I haven't started bakeing yet.  So now to get organized enough to do the bakeing around here is a chore in itself.  So I will start getting set up tonight for tomarrow.  So we will see what happends with it all tonight and tomarrow.  Then a neighbor came over to buy a pack of smokes off of me.  Sorry I have none to spare since I am about 3 weeks behind on money already.  The beggars are getting old around here again.  So yes I have got alot tighter with money lately.  And will continue to do so.  So I have been really streaching out everything in the can.  People are flipping out becuase I refuse to say yes lately for more expinsive things in the household.  So now the joys of waiting for a check here tomarrow so I can pay some of the bills that need to be paid again.  Well everyone is pretty much broke around here anyway so now it is time for some to get up off thier duffs again.  I can really say I have not needed to really go any place this week and if I did I would walk anyway to where I need to go.  The van is out in North Collins again.  Like it really bothers me at the time anyway so I think later on I will take the walk over to Walmart or Ollie's one just to get out of the house for awhile now.  Thats what some people do not understand niether that I haven't really been out none for almost a week.  So now other than really being way more cheap than I really need to be I want to go even cheaper just to Tee off more people.  Ok have fun and play even harder.

I still haven't started

Well after I sat back down I really haven't moved that much since.  At least there is the pie that I made yesterday afternoon.  So now I have some sweets in the can but not much.  I really need to make cookies for some people.  IF not today sometime this weekend I will make them and send them along.  I am really exsausted from doing to much in the household.  I forgot in how much work I really did during the day without anyone else here with me.  And I still find ways to cut corners and streach out everything to the max around here.  Well that is what I get for not haveing for so long and being so broke at times that I diden't eat for days.  Now at the other end yes I am makeing it just like everyone else with a tight budget and struggleing so eather way you seem to take it out on the bills, start cutting back on stuff in the house and after all that you want to do more with it.  Or like myself I had to jump in with both feet.  And I streached everything out so bad that it drove an electrition just absolutly banana's.  And it still does today.  That I have got worse over the years also with streaching everything out and refusse to buy anything that is a want.  Can't eat another shotgun as I say.  Ok now with me saying that it is a very long story and it still make me laugh today about it.  Ok folks I will be back so have fun and play harder.

Looking like a long day and night

Well now I know what Ollivers problem is charlie horses.  Poor birdie.  Pluss I knotice that he gets more of the cramps when it starts cooling off and he eats more corn than normal.  And I should have noticed he was about due for one when he kept slideing down the bars in his cage this morning.  So you guessed it I haven't started in on the cookies yet.  So now to start blocking off more rooms also in the can and only heat 2 rooms becuase it has got alot colder since I have got up this morning also.  Maybe it is the wind out side but I highly doubt it.  That's one of the nicer things about my place is that I have to put the dog out also so I notice alot more in the weather patterns.  Tacs and sheets make good in my house to block off the back part of the can to the other.  Pluss I needed to block off the front room anyway becuase I still have a gapeing whole in the cieling where I haven't got the leak yet totally sealed off.  So when it rains water still comes in.  So eather way I still have some work for today left to do and keep an eye out on everyone.  Other than that it has been fairly quiet today becuase the kids went to school across the street today and Daddy got 3 phone calls from the school also.  My my am I the rotten one out of the bunch.  Then the boy behind me got grounded (4 weeks) for life for skipping also.  So eather way it has been quiet out on the streets so far.  So now to go do more things around the place and I will let you folks know what's going down and going up.  Have fun and play even harder.

Still the crazy lady on the block

I hollared at all the kids out of the yard today and watched them scatter all over includeing the parents after I got done.  So now it hasen't been this quiet all day.  Anyway since most of the power was off for most of the day it.  SO tomarrow I will pick up a bit then off to make cookies.  It will keep me busy for at least part of the day and heat in the can.  Oh well at least there's free stuff  coming in the mail soon again and let us see what comes in for this week also.  Have a good one folks and have fun and play even harder.

Today was somewhat fun

Well I called the school district and a few other places today and most told me to go pound salt on a child who skiped school.  The bad part was I was on the phone with the NY State troupers and the dispatch heard the radio thumping and blamed me for it.  I had everything off at 11 am this morning.  So now I know the school system is really lousy up here in Niagara-Wheatfield.  So if and when I start haveing children of my own I will be more than likely Home Schooling them in my household.  Since the School System is so bad up here now that I have seen this it will be for the best in my book.  Now I seen Children from Home Schooling get full scholorships to the Best Collages around and My BROTHER IS ONE OF THEM CHILDREN.  So now with that being said I can manage with alot of things includeing school work.  I would have to with homework anyway.  Anyway I had most of everything off anyway during the day and I do not even own a radio anymore, becuase I listen to the radio off the internet now a days.  It is a nice service that I can get for free for most of the channels that are streeming on line.  Pluss 2 Bass speekers and 4 other speekers I can blast the best out of the neighborhood let me tell you and have done it.  So now with a cooler day tomarrow I will start bakeing of course.  And the child from across the stree skips again I will be on the phone every half hour on the half hour untill they get him and take him to school.  I need to bake for a sweet person who needs the homemade goodies.  Pluss for when my Hippy gets home from over the road work he will have something also.  It is one of the cheaper ways to get cookies.  To make them homemade.  So eather way a quad batch of cookies is in order around here.  Also I have to put the cookie dough on the top shelf of the fridge so they are easier to handle.  So yes I will have thoven going so that will put heat into the can and I will have the space heaters out also since I do not use much power during the day anyway may as well keep the bird warm.  So now To start makeing a list for tomarrow so I know what I am doing and I will be back later on.

Well the news then back off

The news is on and then back off with the T.V. again.  Dinner is done it was easy tonight reheated leftovers.  Gotta love casseroles and leftover homemade pizza.  So eather way it is food for part of the time this week at least.  I do cook for the third heard in my can.  The army or any other branch of service would be happy with me.  I haven't made it for the walk yet and that is for tomarrow becuase of laundery on the line still.  That and shock collars for the neighbors kids or the adults who raised them so far.  Any way at least it was quiet during the school hours again today.  First week of school and some still need the truant officer to make them go to school.  Oh well I foresee summer school of one child again this year.  Anyway it was another cheap day in my household and a quiet one again with just myself here as always on a Monday now.  So I got alot done in the house without everything going as normal.  Now to go fold some of the laundery That I havent got to this weekend and listen to the news.  Have fun and play harder.

Since school has started last week it has been really quiet here in the neighborhood.  It is music to many of our ears in the park.  And to concentrate on being frugal/cheap.  It is a good thing around here.  Now 3 loads of laundery out on the line and the house is fairly clean except of a couple of loads that need to be folded here in the can.  Now I don't trust the kids what so ever around here in the park at all.  Now to walk up to one of the stores later on and get batteries for one of the mp3 players that I have.  Walking is a great stress reliever for me to say the least.  It doesent cost anything except time and energy and it is exersize.  No gas from the car wasted that way I can tell you that.  Now I have been off of everything since about 5:45 this morning and I wanted the radio since I do not have a regular radio here in the house.  The net radio is free and great to listen to also.  I listen to alot of St. Louis radio stations off the computer.  Like http://www.kmox.com/ is one another is http://www.k-hits.com/ also.  Depending on what you like do a search on the stations in the area if you do not want to turn off the computer.  See what comes up you may be surprized in who is all on line and streaming.  You can listen on line for what your computer does for the power anyway.  Utilize alot of the web is all I can say from free stuff to coupons to streaming to whatever you like.  Ok folks have fun and play harder.

Got draged out shopping

I got draged out by the pony tail today to shop over at Ollies.  It wasen't to bad today.  Even though it is past the first of the month.  Next month deffanantly I will hit there at the first to see what they all have up there for cheap.  Well they are like a Big Lots and a Familly Dollar but messier with how they all do things.  THe cashier was impressed that I already had one of theier cards for the Coupon that they offer.  So now who gets the last laugh on that.  Me I do.  Now when I do get the 20% discount for the next go around I will make a big trip and by then I can afford to.  So it will not be bad.  Pluss I get a bit more cook wear that way also.  Bigger pots and pans for the kitchen.  Or better ones.  Don't get me wrong I love my Ultrex cookwear it's just I can't get it anymore on the market.  So I will find another brand for the household.  And I have found Kitchenaid stuff over at Ollie's also.  And since I use so many things in the kitchen never hurts to have more.  So eather way I will be cheap on getting the kitchen done to my likeing.  There is so much that I can make a wish list on at this point that I had everyone laughing about it today.  Pluss save my change for the Woodburning cook stove that I just fell in love with at http://www.lehmans.com/ that I have started saveing the pennies that I find in the parking lots and stores.  Ok I will admit that they are pricey although worth it in the long run if you take care of the things you get they will last so much longer without thinking about it.  Now if I am with one of my cousins He gets first pick becuase he has a very adorable little girl that is growing like a weed at this point.  Other wise known as my pigtail streaker with affection and love of course.  So now It gives me a reason to start saveing for the other heat source in the house and extra bonus is that I can cook on it for when the power goes out also.  So double duty on alot of things.  It works out for the best let me tell you.  Pluss theres always people that just have the stroke in no matter what you do for the frugal or cheap part of life.  I have been called both in the past and do not mind one bit eather way.  The more I do with some people the more they do not like me.  While I can sit back without alot of stuff and could care less if stuff is on or off.  What I do is save up for and see if I still want it after I get the money pulled back.  I really don't ask for much for myself at all.  I am the type of person who is happy doing for others alot more in the household makeing sure that they have before I do.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder.

Now to start for this up coming week.

I am already thinking for this up coming week on the list of to do's.  Well it will not be so bad when I get started on the house work for the week.  It is just getting motivated to do it all.  I will pick a spot and go from there I am good for something like that.  My first goal out of the week is to be as cheap as possible then think of ways to be cheap while cleaning also.  As my Mom use to say think of ways to do it easier and as long as the end result was what she wanted.  Well my moto is think of ways of doing it cheaper and as long as the end results are good who cares.  I am always thinking of ways to streach the dollar as much as possible around here in the can anyway that some pople would start laughing at me in the ways I have done it all.  Like hanging laundery out side on the lines.  That saves me at least 30 dollars a month from the dryer not running at all.  I cut the dryer sheets in half for when its crummy outside in the Winter months.  It works for my household and makes people wander what else I do around here that is cheap.  I always use less than called for in laundery deturgant, dish soap, and several other things.  As i say I like getting the best bang for the buck around here.  Now for the zipper bags I reuse some of them as normal.  When there is raw meat in them I do not like to reuse them at all.  Now I do like to use window fans as much as possible around here untill it gets to bad in the place.  The tin can absorbs heat like nothing in the summer time.  So alot of the times when the sun is on one side of the can I block it off in the summer time so the place doesent heat up as bad.  Then the shaded side gets the fan going to bring in the cool air.  Now in the winter it depends on what mood I am in.   I will keep the windows blocked for the most part.  Or I open the side that the sun is coming thru.  Now with some people I know here in the park they put up the flimsy curtins and wander why the place is way to cold or hot.  Well I have sheets and blankets up at the windows to keep the warm in or out.  I do know that we are in for it here in the northern end of the states this year.  So we will all see what happends for the winter months.  And dinner was early for today only becuase the Hippy will be out of here very early in the morning tomarrow.  An old amish recipie that was doctored up from the get go today.  I left out the cheddar cheese soup and added one cream of chicken then colby jack cheese instead.  It was good but way rich if you are not use to it.  And it went great with the homemade bread also.  Now I kind of spoil myself with the homemade bread with being alone during the week.  Now again this week I will be alone for dinner again so I have noodles and rice pluss the left overs from the past 2 days.  It will depend on what mood I am in to what is for dinner while I am alone for the week.  I will save money in the meat department also.  So it will save on the budget for the grocery store also.  So yes I am streaching the food dollars out as much as possible this time around.  With Walmart and the noodle soup it works for me for 3 dollars for 2 weeks in dinners pluss leftovers also.  Now I know alot of people do not like leftovers in the household.  With me I am totally fine with it all.  SOme leftovers are better the next day anyway.  And with football season starting up again leftovers are my best friends anyway while I watch.  Have fun everyone and play even harder.

Sitting here thinking

I am sitting here thinking of more ways to cut all the bills in the house.  And I will start walking during the weekdays since I have no car during the weekdays of course.  So the gas money is saved right then and there during the week.  I really like the guy at the gas station that I fill up the tank at.  There is less water and dirt in the tank by the time it hits a quarter of a tank.  The place is Crowne Royale here in the Town of Niagara.  Turban and all the guy will tell you straight out problems with my gas I will repair your car on me.  So I have went to him for the pasted 5 years.  It is eather there or Delta Sonic gas.  It is easier to get out of Crowne though.  Anyway I also will have most of the lights and eletronics turned off during the day and be cheap that way.  As of Monday I will Streach everything to the max while I am alone which is better than what the Hippy does during the short time he is here.  Pluss I don't need to do any shopping anytime soon now after today.  I can still walk next week to get what the house needs over at places like Walmart and Ollie's since they are close by.  It takes me 10 min to get to Walmart on foot I timed it yesterday.  And that is the long way there.  It was a nice walk untill I was coming back to the can.  Ok have fun folks and play even harder.

Scratch pizza on the way

Ok I never said I slacked thru the week nor the weekend here.  I made bread on Thursday and pizza from scratch tonight.  It helps when I went out to the reservation this morning.  A slami and mushroom pizza is in the oven already.  It helps with the Kitchenaid mixer and a few recipies for bread and dough for the pizza.  The Hippy likes when I do cook around the can.  It is better than the truck stop food let me tell you to say the least.  Even though it was a good turkey dinner the one year when I had to travle to Collinsville at Thanksgiveing time for a funeral.  Myself and 6 drivers were going to the same place.  Even the waitress joined in with us that day.  So I will say that when others say join in they do and it is one of the memories that will carry all the way thru.  So now for tomarrow I will be getting one of the old amish recipies out for dinner tomarrow night.  It is home cooking on the homemade and cheap side of life.  When I can save money for dinner I will find a way to do it.  The nice thing about the reservation there is no state taxes added on to the bill only federal.  So a 30 dollar bill with no state tax is maybe 28 dollars in total.  With the state and county tax it is 16% more after you get done here in NY state and the county tax also.  Well that is why I say shop around for the cheapest price and use coupons when ever possible.  Pluss when I say it takes more time for made from scratch it does.  It is well worth the trouble to go thru with questions of  what can we do to help the family.  If it is cooking from scratch and being dirt cheap go for it.  I have gottin cheaper over the years myself with good reason.  I do not keep up with the Jonses at all.  I do not need to.  Why is becuase, I have always been the type of person to watch jaws drop and show people up myself.  Pluss the cheaper I go the better off the household is in my case.  Ok folks have fun and play hard.

Got this months bills

Ok lets kick off this months bills again.  It is a visous cycle around here always.  Well I can not complain about this months bill being higher than normal becuase we had the air going more with 90+ days out side.  So I am waiting on the Hippy to get paied and go from there for the bills.  This month wont be as bad I can tell you that with me cuting back on the power during the week while the Hippy is gone.  And alot of other things also.  Now just to start streaching even more while he is gone during the week and go from there.  Pluss when I was at the mail box I ended up with alot more freebies also.  So its not a bad deal out of the fact to also pick up dirty mail (bills).  Well I can say that the quiet during the day does not bother me as much as some people so I will turn off more during the day this week and keep it off for as long as I can.  Now I have to do more laundery tomarrow so we all do not flash the neighbors or other people.  That could be fun in some cases but would not want the tickets.  Also I will be hanging laundery out tomarrow early to cut more on the power bill.  There is still alot that I can do without power around here during the day and like it all.  Pluss I still need to takle the bedroom and start cleaning and pulling the winter stuff out from there also.  Like Jackets and a few other things also.  Then there is the great freebie hunt for tomarrow also while I will be on the computer for most of the day.  Then this way I look forward to going to get the mail for something else besides the dirty mail.  And what I ended up with today will not go to waste let me tell you.  Like the toothpaste that came in.  It is the extra thing that I dident have to buy at the store and will last me for a good month.  And that is how I look at it all at this point.  Get as much as I can for free and use the coupon for later on.  It is like the coupons If the companies dident want it out there they woulden't have put them out there for some of us to use also.  So if you find them go and use them.  If you find it for free even better deal for you.  So keep checking the bargin racks and sales pluss the coupons to drive at least one bill down in the house hold.  Now with the cable for T.V. I got cruddy reseption before the box went into affect for the hd T.V.  So I ended up with cable and the bill is not as bad as I thought it would be.  With everything included it is about 130 a month for that.  I will not hollar about it at all untill the power goes out around here again.  No power no house phone.  So go figure on it all.  I am thinking about dropping the cable phone anyway once the Hippy gives me money for his cell phone for the road also.  There is at least free Text on the phones whether we run out of the plan minuts or not.  So all the way around it is a good deal on it.  So check with the plan that makes more since to you.  I have Cricket service for the cell.  Which is unlimited in the area that I am in and I get an extra 30 min for the roaming min.  So if I am at the store I can pick it up.  So search out what plan is best for you at all times.  Anyway I am on the run and got to start makeing dinner for tonight.  So have fun and play even harder.

Well getting there

Today was just a lousy day for the most part.  DO NOT BELIEVE the commercials from Walmart with thier banking system at all.  They want you to set up a bank acount with them without cashing your check right then and there.  Not a big deal with me but the commercial says nothing about it at all.  So I will be cashing my checks with my regular bank from now on.  So with that being said save your money and set up an account with the bank you are normally dealing with and they will give you more than what you want without charges.  They have to let you know what is what and when and how much.  So anyway avoid all bank charges as much as possible when you are dealing with bankers and regular banks.  IF you don't like your bank shop around for a bank you are comfy with and that will help you understand what they are there for.   A good banker will let you know if you are at the right place or not.  Key words if they charge you each month for the privlage of haveing a bank account.  So check around and save the dollars for another reason other than bank charges.

Got more done today

I got more done in the kitchen today and like 5 kitty's and 10 dogs out of the rug.  So I kinda rearanged the kitchen and I already hurt from this morning.  So I sat around after I did that vacumed then dusted all over the place.  Pluss I picked up the liveingroom a bit more also.  I had alot of the power off today also while I was at it untill about 4pm.  It was nice to have silents in the house except the bird got loud for a bit.  So another peacefull day around the can.  I almost forgot what it was like for the kids to have almost full days at school.  Pluss I had all the windows open becuase of all the dust that was kicked up while I was cleaning today so it smelled fairly nice in here.  Now the next couple of days are going to be a bit chilly I know fall is in the air now.  So the laundery will still get out on the line tomarrow.  That is the goal for tomarrow and the dishes again.  Since there is only myself here there is not many dishes and laundery to do.  So I may as well stay caught up while I can before the Hippy gets back.  I think he will be here on Friday maybe Saturday who knows at this point in time.  All I do know is that he was in Ohio this morning early to unload what he had. So now to see what is on the meal plan for at least Friday night and make a few phone calls to see if he will be in.  Other than that everything has been unpluged and not going during the day for the most part.  And I will probably only be on the computer tomarrow night.  That can be fun at all times.  I really do not watch much T.V. if at all.  Wensdays and Fridays are my main nights and some on Saturday.  Other than that I can deal without it.  I really enjoy not haveing everything going during the day.  At this point I will be able to hear the washer tomarrow when it stops.  The washer is so quiet that I can hardly believe it.  Well compaired to the old washer it was fairly loud and if you dident watch it for the rinse cycle it would flood out the bathroom floor.  And of course I miss not haveing to mop the floor becuase of all the water.  The Aldi read bottle laundery deturgent worked wanders to make the dull floor shine up nice.  And alot of towels to soak up the water of course.  Anyway at this point I am about ready to have keyboard marks on my cheeks I am that tired.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder.

A good day at home

IT was a very quiet day here at the can.  The kids are officially back to school and nobody else was here with me today.  I have had all of the power strips off and other things off also today.  So it wont hurt me to deal without a phone all day.  I will keep the modem going for the phone tonight of course.  I cleaned for part of the day today and I got alot done.  Theres alot more that needs to be done of course but that is what deep cleaning is all about also.  At least the dishes are done for the night and I will have some to do for tomarrow night but there is only me here in the place.  So eather way I did win the battle today and got alot done and cheaply.  Just do not wanna see the power company over the next few months at all becuase I have everything practicly off in the can.  Now I will keep up the everything off mode for awhile and go with it.  Tomarrow is a somewhat laundery day I wll start to fold everything of course, then vacume the rugs, then dust and that is it for tomarrow for the house work.  I do not want to do everything in one day then have a totally borring week.  There is a reason to my madness of course.  Keep busy for the week and it will fly by me as normal.  So eather way at least I am trying to drop the power bill down even further than what it is now.  I am hopeing for an 80 dollar bill here soon but you never know around here with all the taxes added on.  On my May bill it was 73.96 in taxes and delivery sirvice then the regular bill was 31.35 now you tell me what is wrong with the picture.  So lets see how far I can get it down here.  So I can do the happy dance.  The Hippy is doing ok and heading towards Ohio now. So I will not see him tonight. Now the fun begins on that again.   Ok folks have fun and play harder.

Still on the count down

Not to much longer before tomarrow morning and the frugal/cheap breaks out on the house.  Everyone leaves except the animals and myself.  It will be strange at first untill I can get use to the Hippy being out on the road again.  So now it crunch time and pulling everything togeather for the Big Rig.  Pluss not only that an added worry about the Hippy being on the road.  That will never go away I guess.  It is the wierdos in the regular cars.  I have seen some stop right in the middle of the highway right before I left Illinois/Mosurri.  So I know the trouble that is out there.  Anyway school is starting tomarrow also.  The creatons out of the neighborhood are going to be gone till at least noon tomarrow.  Some of the kids I swear on the block need shock collars but you can not exsactly blame the kids niether, becuase the parents just dont give a rats behinde about what they do.  So all over it is the big ole count down.  Well I can not say that I won't miss the Hippy becuase I will eather way.  Ok folks have a good one and play even harder.

What I always have on hand

What I have on hand in the pantry and the freezer that always makes a dinner or breakfast.


2   5lb or larger bags of flour
1-2  dozen eggs
1-2 bullets of hamberger (1lbs)
1-2  bullets of sausage    (1lbs)
1    bag of onions and potatoes
1    3 pack of yeast
1    can of bakeing powder
1    big huge bag of rice
1-2 packages of flat noodles
1     tub of margerine
1     can of crushed tomatoes
1     5lb bag of sugar
1      thing of oragano and baisle
1-2  cans of condinced milk
and 1 box at least of powdered milk

Now for most folks you will have regular milk in the fridge becuase of kids in the household.  I don't drink milk as a rule.  So it is easier for me to have the powdered milk for bakeing so I can mix up what I need for the day.  If I don't need any then it does not get made.  Now there are times when I am at Aldi and I will get everything there.  Since I won't have a car during the week I will walk over to Walmart for the things I have put down today.  And since I am good on those items I really dont have to get out untill I go pay the lot rent for the month.  Now normally I shop once a month so I pick up like 8 bags of flour a month and 3 dozen eggs at a time.  Pluss I make bread from scratch most times.  And I will really start when there is just me in the can.  It is cheaper on me to do that and there is nobody to complain about it.  And yes I have alot of caned goods in the house hold.  Now it depends on what is going on and if the frozen vegies are cheaper for that week.  When they are really on sale that is when I buy more.  With what I put down is the very basic for the household for the week.  Now I have servived on less than what I had put down.  Rice is versatal in so many ways so it the flour and eggs.  I have been known to make muffins for breakfast for the week.  They can be warmed up in the morning if you have leftovers from the day before and there is a hot breakfast.  With everything going sky high in the stores now a days that you have to plan out alot more for meals.  Now if your family is not big on leftovers they will be if you do not cook the next day for dinner.  Also in the winter there are soups to be made and chili also.  I have found that if I can get a good beaf or ham bone I can boil it so I can make a soup stock.  With chicken soup boil the chicken for at least an hour and make sure you have enough water in the pot to work with.  If you think you do not have enough water add more becuase you are usually right on the first guess.  Now when I go to makeing soups from scratch I always make more than what I need.  Why?????????   Becuase I pull the left overs Split it up and off to the big freezer with it.  Then I have some for a later date.  Now with me I like to plan out meals and write them down for the month.  I have a weekly/monthly planer.  I pick up the yearly calander for weekly/daily from Office Max.  Now in the Winter what I will do when I walk is I go over to the Sonoco for a big coffee and walk home to keep warm with.  There is one guy at the Sonoco that knows me real well there.  So it works out.  Now I will say that I have 3 roll bags otherwise known as granny bags.  It has helped out with walking to the stores.  Now a gallon of bleach gets heavy after awhile.  So does the 10lbs of cat litter.  Some of the stores are about a mile away from my place depending on the route I go.  It is nothing unusual for me to walk to the stores.  Now that I will start walking again it clears my mind on alot of things.  Pluss all the fresh air helps me to think more clear on the house.  I have to laugh sometimes becuase since High School I have gained 70 pounds.  The weight will start coming off again when I start walking.  So eather way I will win by saveing gas money and wear and tear on the van then loss of wheight.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder.

Working the bills

I am trying to figure bills for next month already.  I am hopeing to have the eletric bill down pretty good by the end of next month.  The other bills are going to run about normal with the budget plan.  Well what else can I say about it.  The ones I can controle are the water bill and the power.  So I will be haveing most of everything off as of Tuesday and go from there.  Pluss i will start useing candles again and I will watch the bird about it just in case.  Just so I can save some on the power bill of course during the day.  I just can not see the need for haveing lights burning when it is only myself in the can.  That is me.  Not only that I could go without power anyway if it was just myself.  It is one of them things that I wouldent mind doing without.  Once I can get enough for a house and solar pannels I will be doing good.  Of course it goes along with the batteries for the solar pannels.  Pluss a wood burning kitchen stove for heat.  I would be all set.  I can cook on the wood burning stove also.  Even though it has been awhile.  There's alot that I can still do with very little.  I am just minding time for it all at this point in time untill Tuesday.  And the fun will start at about 6 am for being furgal and even more cheap than I can possibly imagan for.  I will give it a trial run to see what is comfertable for me and go with it.  I will have leftovers also here for Tuesday also so there is food that is cooked at least for the first night of being alone.  So all in all it won't be to bad of a deal.  Not by my eyes anyway.  I will let you know on Tuesday when I start all of it in how it goes from there undtill then I will be around all day tomarrow.  I am still makeing a list so I can have a check list to go by in what I have done.  And I will get a list up of the basic needs in the house also here shortly that I always have on hand no matter what in the place.  If I can help someone out in that way I will do it in a heartbeat.  So I will get going here so I can start in on that.  Have fun and play harder.

Still counting down

I am still counting down for everything on Tuesday.  A quiet house and a clean house to boot this should be good on me.  With a bit of work and an hour at least a room a day then I should have a pretty clean house.  I do like to deep clean every so often around here.  It works better when I am alone without tripping over anyone.  It will be a nice switch from haveing someone else here 24/7 to just myself.  Then I will miss the Hippy after awhile.  And yes I will be frugal on the cleaning also while I am at it.  Now to figure out how to cook for one person again.  That is the hardest part about the whole thing without anyone here to cook for also.  Pluss I get to make fresh bread for myself once again.  And there will be times where I just won't eat becuase there is only me in the can.  So yes the food budget will be streached to the limit again.  Then I only have to cook one piece of chicken also for now.  Unless I want left overs the next night.  It will be wierd for the first 2 weeks or so to get into the swing of things.  Nothing a person can get use to again.  Thats the nice part about some things.  I will wait to go to the grocery store for another couple of weeks here.  Just so I can get more coupons and there are better deals by the end of the month also.  The sick part about figureing everything out and how the sales go.  It was done for the people on welfare around here in NY state.  Well I can not pass up a good deal that is me.  The other part is that some people should be on food stamps but are not becuase they make 1 dollar to much here.  So to play the gam you have to use coupons and eat leftovers around this area.  Most of us rarely go out to eat.  Once you get use to the Idea of not going out to eat and over the grease attacks it all works out well.  I still laugh that I have totally cut out on the going out to get dinner.  It just ment that I had to get a deep fryer for the house for the fries and a few other things.  Once you start looking for the sales on everything and use coupons for the list that you have for the grocery store you can cut the bill into half if not more.  Now up here for most of the Grocery Chains you have a club card for the sales and double coupons.  Sometimes there are triple coupons it depends on how much of the loss the store wants with some of us going there.  Pluss I have dumpster dove for can goods becuase I was so broke at one time.  That was a ball in a half.  Sometimes I still do it depending on what mood I am in for the time.  Even though the lable is riped off doesent mean it is not good.  As long as the can is in good shape it is good to go.  There are lots of ways to save at the grocery store and other places.  There are bargin racks also at alot of the stores for like disconntinued items that they want to move quick.  I had shopped the bargin rack for years and got stuff that you wouldent think about useing a coupon for also.  Sometimes the stores would rather take the huge loss on things to make a sale or to move it out of the store.  I have left my phone number with some managers for when they are throwing things that are still good for fruit and vegies for the can.  Pluss bread that was a day over the sale price.  They can not sell it by law and nobody dident say they could give it away niether.  I had a freezer full of hamberger buns at one time from Mc Donnalds.  So there are ways of doing things on the cheap.  Even with the running of the 2 kitchens I can still get the bill for under 150 dollars a month.  Some have a hard time doing that.  Once you know what is on sale at the time of the month and go from there and some thing of getting use to also it is not hard to do.  Like in my place we all do not drink alot of soda.  Soda and chips are a treat in my house.  I hardly get soda and when I do then it will last for months.  Now with extra money coming into the house I can run to PA for the soda.  And other things while I am at it now.  There is less taxes and no bottle deposit in PA.  Yes I take the cans back from PA to the stores up here and get the nickle here in NY state.  Pluss I don't mind the 4 hour drive to see family on top of the shopping.  Anothher pluss is no tax on jeans and other clothing items.  There are several advantages on travleing also.  And a half of a tank of gas I can handle it.  So find out what you can to be cheap on alot of things.  It will pay you in the long run on alot of things.  Like unplugging everything when you can around the house.  And hanging out clean laundery also.  You will be amazed in how much you can cut the power bill and or the gas bill.  It depends on what you have on the dryer and water tank.  I use the washer on tap cold also becuase there is a bottun for it on the GE Profile washer that I have.  I have also started with useing less of everything also in the cleaning products.  Well there is only 2 people in my can and it is worth streaching out everything that you can.  Even with pets theres alot you can do to be cheap on.  Like bathing them yourself and notice in what they like to eat and turn thier noses up at.  I know with the bird I can get him the parkeete food and he is happy with it.  I buy the 10 pound bag and I do not have to worry about getting food for him for about 2 months.  Now for the scratch paper that is a differant story also.  I like the scratch paper becuase it wears down his nails instead of getting them cut once a month.  Pluss where I got him from I can get his beak clipped.  So as I say one hand washer the other and it works out Almost that time again

Almost time for school around here and I can not wait till Tuesday.  Pluss the Hippy goes back to work.  I will have a very relaxing day with dead silents.  Pluss to sit around and do nothing almost all day it will be nice.  It will take some time to get use to as always with the kids gone for almost 8 hours a day.  And some of the kids need school all year round or zap collars one.  I know that is bad to say but when dad and mom are lieing to cover the kids you know it is bad around here.  Or the parents just don't care what the kids do then lie about it afterwards.  So school is one of them things that I just can't wait till it starts.  And it seems to be starting late this year.  Who knows why.  Like I care but then again the school board dosen't consiter snow days.  Oh well at least the kids won't be out till at least June 28th of next year.  One of the good things about the kids going back to school is all the sales at the stores.  And yes I did pick up note books and pens last week.  Then this way I dont feel guilt on not writeing notes of what to do for the day.  If I dont get to everything then it gets taged onto the next day.  Then I prioratize in what is more improtant.  That is how I have ran the can for so long that that habit can not be broken out of me at all.  As long as the housework gets done who cares in what order it get done in.  That's my moto for it all.  And it annoies alot of people and I just do not care.  Ok folks have a good night and play hard.

Something I hardly do

I just did something I hardly ever ever do anymore.  I just paid a bill over at the grocery store.  Yes I paid a service charge also.  Now normally I pay bills on line or go to the office to pay them when ever possible.  And I need to start paying bills on time also starting next month.  I will have enough and then some for next month to start that.  I just do not like paying the charge for the convienance of paying at the grocery store at all.  Another is becuase I don't go into the store that I went to today.  The sales ads are not that great for groceries and other things.  And thier meat counter is out of this world with being way over priced.  Now with myself walking more in the coming weeks I will be able to do more at other stores.  Walmart is one of my favorite places and Wegmans is right across the street from there I shoulden't have a problem.  Walmart I can see from my kitchen window.  There is another great store named Ollies down the street with in walking distance also.  Ollies is like a Big Lots and the Dollar Stores combined but messier.  They have a card for you spend so much in the store and you get a coupon for a persentage off the next bill that you are there.  I can get alot of stuff way cheaper in there than even Walmarts prices.  On top of everything it is right on top of the bus lines.  So even better on my part.  So there are ways to get around without a car at all times.  I can laugh about it now in how many times I have walked somewhere and it hasent bothered me at all.  When I had my Honda it was down more than up for the longest time and I walked every place on this end of town.  And I will begin that again here next week also.  I will start dropping pounds also.  So 2 birds with one stone in my book.  Another good thing about walking in the Winter months is that Any parishable foods will not spoil on the walk back.  In the summer months when I was walking everywhere I would go out very early in the morning and get stuff.  It takes me the same amount of time to get to the store walking as it does to drive it.  With all the traffic between the Mall,Wegmans,Tops,Walmart, and a few other stores in the area.  So I will never be board around here.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder.

Another laundery day

Another laundery day has broke out in the can today.  I have to do a load of darks and blankets already today again.  I diden't realize that King blankets and sheets took up so much room dirty.  And after last night with such a horrad band I better stay home tonight and get some things ready for Tuesday morning.  Well I can say I was very cheap last night in going out.  Even though I lost 20 dollars the drinks were free and so was the band.  Anyway part of my list is to reorganize the bedroom again while I am alone.  Then this way I have room to move and go from there.  And laundery bags are such a nice thing in my household only becuase the laundery is in one place.  I grab a bag and go from there.  Most of it is already sorted out from darks to whites to towles and to socks(I love to bleach out white socks).  Then there are the sheets and blankets on top of it all.  If you can find a place for dirt cheap sheets or get them for free you will be better off for it all.  Alot of my sheets were free some were so cheep it was a total sin for paying for them.  I love the bargin racks anyway but check with the storage units around your area and see when they are cleaning out a unit.  I have got alot of stuff free that way.  Even pillows for the can.  So I can not complain to much about all of it.  I still have a stack of pillows to last for awhile.  I take pillows to the launderymat to wash them every so often and hang them on the line to dry.  Other wise you get lumpy dumpy pillows if you put them in the dryer.  I like line drying the laundery only becuase it cuts the eletric bill dramaticly even with the A/C unit going.  This year I haven't had to run the unit that much only becuase it has been a cool summer.  So I know we are going to get hit with at least 3 big snow storms this winter and it will be very cold.  And one bad thing is I get to shovel snow this year again.  The end of the driveway is the really bad part.  I will have some help though from neighbors.  That is why I cook so much around here more than likely becuase that is how I repay everyone.  So I will start to cook on Monday again and go from there.  I need to bake muffins for the hippy for the road at least one batch to get him thrugh.  And yes the kids will be flocking to my house.  Ok folks have fun today and play even harder.

Cleaning and waiting

Well now the hippy doesen't leave till Tuseday morning early.  So it just gives me more time to plot things out at least.  I got the cab pretty much cleaned out even though it still needs alot of work.  It takes almost an hour to get out there to where the company is.  Well at least he is working again so I can take a break on things.  Pluss the both of us got asked out tonight so it is not all bad for the day.  There blows my diet for the week (giggling).  So anyway theres some pic's that I got of the bird and I will post them.  And I was totally cheap at cleaning today.  There is so much dirt and junk in the cab of the truck that I coulden't get it all today.  It was bad let me tell you.  I went thru 3 rags by the spray bottle then asked for a bucket of water after that.  You do not wanna know what I had found and had to clean up out of the sleeper of the truck.  Thank goodness I worked in the hotels for a period of time.  You can never tell from day to day in that job area.  Then to top it off the guys from the garage almost ran becuase an argument started between the hippy and myself.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder.

I am still waiting for a call back on the phone.  And it has been like forever in my book.  Maybe I am just excited about haveing the place back to myself again.  The bills will go lower becuase I will make them.  So there are plusses and negatives on alot of things that will be going on here.  It does get old after awhile of someone else not being here of course.  But in the same since there is good points also.  There's the double kitchen that I have to run, and I get to clean 2 places instead of just one place.  In the same since the house bills will go down also.  That is becuase I will not be on all of the time with the computer and most of the stuff will be turned off also.  I just hope I can get into the swing of things again and quickly after the past few months of not doing it all myself.  It shouldent be to hard to do being here by myself.  Some stuff can wait of course but you never know with me and I will try to get all of it done in one day.  I always do that.  So I will start searching for more coupons and free stuff to pull the place and myself togeather again.  I will let you know how all of this works once I get started again on everything and I may as well jump in with both feet to get things done of course.  And lets see what happends from here.  Have fun and play even harder thru the day.

Somewhat lazy day

I am still planning and plotting on where to start first here in the can for cleaning.  Well everything is still up in the air for the hippy to leave out of here as always.  I was hopeing for today, and it is not looking good for that niether.  So it just gives me abit more time to plot out where to start first anyway.  Soon I will be writing everything down so I can pick and choose on what to do first if I do not change my mind in the meantime for it all.  Well at least it will get done eather way that I go.  I may just take the first day off with the place to myself also.  Anyway now to see what is for dinner that I can do for cheap again besides makeing pasta sauce.  Have fun and play hard.

Did well today

Got out of Walmart for under 7 dollars today.  I love the back to school sales that go on before school.  I needed paper and pens for the can so I can do what I have to do to make the house lists and a few other things.  Pluss I ended over at the Reservation also.  Saveing money all over the place today.  Now in the next couple of days I will start with the big saveings on the power bill.  The count down has begun in this house.  The best part is I can really do this around here again.  Also I have laundery hanging outside again.  I will not stop that till the snow flies around here.  Then in April I will start that again.  Eather way I win on that so I will not complain about it.  The first day that I am alone I will be cleaning and reorganizeing what I have just did last week.  And there are so many things that I will do also while I am at it again.  The hard part is cooking for just me again instead of 2 people.  Well I get to run 2 kitchens again that is one down side of everything of course.  In the up side I can leave most of the stuff off in the can.  I can always keep busy of course and I am never board around here.  And I get to clean without someone being underfoot except the puppy of course.  The funny thing is that Ann makes me take a break in what I am doing for the day.  Alittle planning on my part and I should be ok in what to do and when I feel like doing it on my own time.  Another up side is the bathroom will stay clean at all times with only me here again.  I just worry about the laundery bomb going off in the hallway and socks I can wistle for and they come and jump in the washer.  Thank goodness for auto soak on the washer that may help this time around.  At least for the smell of them.  Extra bleach is calling me I know it is.  Now that I am giggleing about it.  Well on top of it I have several CB's that some people could use since they are going back to the 18 whealer again.  Ok folks have fun and play hard.

What a day so far

Ok I never said I was lazy at all.  I had to run for the hippy thank goodness he got the job today.  So now he is off to the DMV to get the enhanced license.  Now I have to pretty much break my toush to get the hippy's laundery ready including bedding for the truck.  Pluss there is food for the truck also.  Well he can take the rest of the gallon of milk that is in the fridge and I will make the powdered milk for the house.  Well I will say this With everyone out of the house and not here my bills will go down in alot of ways.  And I can have everything off during the day all togeather.  Which means the modem is off along with the computer the T.V. is off during the day and all of the lights.  And what I mean by off is even the power strip is turned off.  So the power bill just may make it under 80 from now on while I am here alone without anyone here.  I will have candles going of course.  And ahhhhhhhhhhh no SYFY channel going unless it is for Wensday nights.  So there is a pluss side to everything around here.  Cooking for just one person is hard to do.  That is why I like the hippy here with me all of the time.  I start cooking then theres just enough for leftovers the next day for lunch.  Now to figure out in what to do besides re organize the place with everyone not in my hair again.  Then to go and make a dish and have enough left overs for the next 4 days.  So now the real frugal will break out in me.  Now let the fun begin with this and I will make it work this time whithout someone here.  I will let you know the results on it all.  Ok folks have fun and play even harder.
